Creater of the Alchemy Web Site and author of more than 40 books, Adam is a well-known scholar of alchemical texts and symbolism. He has produced hundreds of hand-colored versions of woodcuts and engraved images found in ancient books and manuscripts. All of his paintings are available as prints which can be purchased from his Alchemy Web Bookshop.

Joanne Asala

Joanne, a native Chicagoan, is an accomplished author and editor with more than 15 years of experience in book, magazine, educational, and business publishing. She is skilled in print and on-line editing and manages a staff of more than a dozen freelance proofreaders, editors, graphic designers, and transcriptionists at Compass Rose Horizons, a full-scale editorial services provider. She holds a Bachelor's in English from the University of Iowa and is certified in tech writing and editing. In her spare time, she likes to blog, and maintains sites on The History of Uptown Chicago and restoring her vintage two-flat.

Neil Bromley

Neil Bromley is the artist responsible for our compass rose logo designs. He graduated with an H.N.D. in Calligraphy and Heraldry at the Reigate School of Art. His work includes family crests, shields, full coats of arms, freedom scrolls, and medieval miniatures. Commissions include an illuminated address to celebrate the 100th birthday of H.M. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and a scroll for the Queen of Denmark.

Robert "Ted" Calhoun - President

Born in Ohio, Ted was raised in Missouri and Kansas and earned a dual major in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Kansas. He is an experienced software developer and an Oracle® Certified Internet Applications Developer, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft® technologies and Java programming. Ted wrote his first business application in assembly language and BASIC in the days when the 8-bit computer reigned, and has been learning new technologies ever since. He has worked extensively with customers on-site, and has experience in all areas of the software development cycle, from needs-assessment to implementation to user training. Additionally, he has supervised and mentored development teams overseas. Ted now resides in Chicago.
