Cassy Soden

Job Titles:

Cassy is a multimedia producer, writer, and story strategist. She's especially interested in documenting and telling stories that reflect peoples' inspiring passions, create learning opportunities, encourage positive change, and deepen cultural understanding. Cassy has produced recent work for Educurious and Catalytica. She was previously a producer in the multimedia department at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and a producer and director of PBS programs.

Dina Guttman

Dina is an editor specializing in unscripted documentaries. She has edited films that have aired on PBS, National Geographic specials, and A Healing Art, which won the POV Award at the 2009 International Doc Challenge competition. Dina splits her time between New York City and Seattle, Washington where she edits for clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Dina worked for Content Inventions on the Educurious project.

Gretchen Burger

Gretchen is an independent video producer and editor with over fourteen years experience in documentary filmmaking and television production. She co-produced and edited the feature-length documentaries Another Side of Peace and Patriot Guard Riders, and assisted on productions of "The Corporal's Diary," "38 Days In Iraq," "The Motherhood Manifesto," and "Trade Off." She was a producer and field director on three seasons of the Emmy award-winning children's public television series "Biz Kid$." Additionally, Gretchen has edited projects for a range of organizations, including Landesa, PATH, King County Public Health, and the Pacific Science Center. Gretchen has a MFA in film and video from The Massachusetts College of Art and Design and teaches filmmaking and editing at the Art Institute of Seattle and Seattle University.

Josh Daniel

I start with finding the story. I love to invent impactful, shining content that inspires ideas, provokes curiosity, and promotes change. An award-winning Producer-Director-Writer-Editor, I have over 25 years of experience creating content on all types of platforms-video, web, print, mobile, games, and film. My passion for educational media and social good has helped numerous nonprofits and curriculae succeed. My storytelling helps organizations and corporate brands reach their goals. Frequently, I develop and manage large communication experiences for local and national nonprofit and educational institutions. I bring an understanding of political and social issues-as well as expertise in educational media, kids' games, parenting, ELA, personal & global heath, and science content to the mix. In my work, I craft narrative strategies and content experiences to reach all kinds of audiences.

Karen Sideman

Karen provides consultant game design, interaction design, and creative direction to projects that support playful learning. Karen's current and recent clients include Amplify, LEGO, This Is Pop, The Sally Ride Science Cub and Games For Change. Karen was creative director at Sesame Workshop Online and helped create Stickerworld, one of the first kids MMOs. Karen originally worked with Josh at Sesame Workshop, has designed projects with him for PBS Parents, and provides consulting game and interactive direction to the company.

Sheila Sweeny

Sheila is an award-winning author who has written over a hundred books for children that have been translated into a wide world of languages, including French, Mandarin, and Greek. Throughout her career in children's media, she has created a wealth of content, from animation scripts to graphic novels to video game text, for clients such as Disney, Sesame Workshop, Scholastic, and Cartoon Network. Sheila has worked with Content Inventions on numerous projects including The Committee for Children, Amplify, The PBS Parents Guide to School, I Was Wondering, and Lungtropolis.

Sherry Beaver

Job Titles:
  • Instructional Designer, E - Learning Specialist
Sherry brings a rich and diverse background in instructional design, community-based teaching, and evaluation to Content Inventions projects. She is skilled at creating effective face-to-face, online, and hybrid instruction. In 2002, she earned a master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon (UO), focusing on the effectiveness of online education. At the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and Oregon Center for Applied Science (ORCAS), Sherry worked numerous federal and privately funded grants. Sherry has done instructional design consulting for Michael Mac Innovations, Content Inventions, and the Willamette Valley Project Management Institute.

Tim Tyler

Tim Tyler has been providing cinematography and video post production services in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest since 1995. Tim has shot video locally for Amazon, T-Mobile, Microsoft, Russell Investments, Weber Shandwick, Real Networks, KCTS, EMP Museum, and the WA State Arts Commission -and nationally for WNET, NBC, CNBC, Novartis, MTV and many more. Tim has worked for Content Inventions on various projects including Communities That Care, Educurious, and The Teaching Channel.
