Tracey Pilkerton Cairnie

Tracey Pilkerton Cairnie received her Master of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University. She is a court-certified mediator and mentor for the Commonwealth of Virginia for general, circuit, and juvenile and domestic matters. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, and certificates in Facilitation, Restorative Justice, and Public Participation. She holds a certificate in Executive Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. Tracey is an adjunct-professor at George Mason University teaching mediation and communication processes. In addition, she provides specialized training in the areas of dispute resolution, conflict management, coaching, team-building, communication, and relationship awareness. She brings over twenty years of experience working with local, state, and federal agencies, profit and non-profit organizations. She works closely with families, communities, large and small businesses, educational institutes, individuals, and the general public. She is proficient in conducting needs assessments, issues analyses, and designing effective processes for reaching mutually agreeable solutions to difficult situations. Tracey has an extensive background in facilitating dialogues, focus groups, and public hearings. One of her most rewarding experiences was as a member of the team who facilitated the dialogues for the Listening to the City-The Redevelopment of Lower Manhattan after 9/11 led by AmericaSpeaks.
