Donna Burnett - Founder, President

Donna is the President and Founder of Contact 1. After working in human resources in the legal field, and experience with temporary staffing management and direct-hire staffing, Donna was inspired to start Contact 1. Her goal was to create a space where candor meets customer experience, building a team where quality standards are applied equally. Donna is driven by the need to solve hiring challenges for client companies while supporting the careers of talented candidates along the way. Her direct, straightforward approach has garnered the loyalty of DC's top for-profits, non-profits, and law firms for over 30 years. The connections forged with Contact 1's candidates are just as strong, resulting in long-term partnerships, repeat placements, and an extensive referral network. Outside of work, Donna enjoys gardening, tap-dance, music, yoga, and spending time with her two cats, family and friends.

Isabel Dorfman

Isabel is a DC native who graduated from Towson University with a degree in Psychology. Prior to joining the team at Contact 1, she managed natural pet stores for several years and worked as an Executive Assistant at a premier event venue. Through her experiences, she discovered she loved management but her heart was not in retail. Having worked as a temporary employee through Contact 1 herself, Isabel is now the Director of Staffing and enjoys helping others find the path to their perfect career. Outside of work, Isabel spends time as a volunteer at animal shelters and with her own four-legged fur baby. She also loves cooking and is constantly thinking up fun, new recipes to try.

Sofie Bitangcol

Sofie moved from the Philippines in 2002 and grew up in Arlington, VA. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Global Affairs. Before joining Contact 1 Inc, Sofie held several positions in the hospitality industry for 11 years. She started as a part-time Banquet Server and fulfilled her hospitality dream of becoming part of a hotel opening team as a Sales Manager in 2020. When the pandemic put a strain on the hospitality industry, Sofie decided to find a new role where she could continue connecting with and serving people from different walks of life. That's when she started working as a temporary employee through Contact 1 and joined the team as a Recruiter in May 2022. In her free time, Sofie loves to hike and spend time with her 100lbs Bernedoodle named Ollie. She also enjoys cooking Filipino food, singing karaoke, and exploring new places.

Travis Arey

Travis is a Kansas native who moved to DC in 2018. Prior to moving to the East Coast, he worked extensively in telephonic customer service, retail, and animal care. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's in media studies. As the Communications and Outreach Manager and having been on the other end of the employment game himself, Travis enjoys being able to provide assistance and insight to others navigating the hurdles of the hiring field. When he is not at work, Travis lives in the Petworth area with his girlfriend and feline companion, Hobbes, and enjoys sampling the local DC cuisine, going to concerts (when available), and watching too many movies.
