Corona Decor Co. began in 1964 in the eating nook of a small Seattle Central District home with 6 children, a manual typewriter and a passion for fine woven textiles made into beautiful home accessories. The Decorative Pillows, Wall Decor, Table Top and Tassels were made by highly skilled local tailors, seamstresses, and craftspeople. Corona's creator, Ruth Scholz worked tirelessly from early morning until late at night tending her business, her children and attending the University of Washington, being one of the few women in the business school graduating class. The first sales person was hired to cover Texas and quickly spread the word about Corona Decor products. One salesperson quickly grew to a network of salespeople and showrooms across the country.
