Educated at Eton, Sandhurst and Cambridge, Christopher qualified as an English Barrister in 1977. He has been involved in trustee services ever since qualification and is a highly experienced trusts lawyer and administrator, attorney at law in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and mediator. In addition to chairing our board of directors, Christopher provides ad hoc counsel on client trust and investment matters.
Educated at Repton and York University, David was admitted as a UK Solicitor in 1989, and as an attorney in the Turks and Caicos in 1990. David practiced law internationally based in London from 1992 to 2014, and is a very experienced disputes lawyer, and adviser to a number of international high net worth families. David was Head of Commercial Litigation and then Managing Partner and CEO of a Top 30 international law firm based in London before returning to the Turks and Caicos in 2015.
David is active as a trustee in a number of contentious trust matters around the region and has been recognised as a Notable Practitioner in Chambers High Net Worth Guide since 2021 for his work in contentious and non-contentious trust matters.
Ferdinand was educated at Angeles University in the Philippines, where he was awarded a BSc in Accountancy and he qualified as a Certified Accountant in 2003. Ferdinand joined Coriats in 2005 and is responsible for the Trust Company's finance and accounting function and oversees the provision of reporting and accounting services for the families we serve.
Gareth has more than 18 years' experience as a professional fiduciary and trustee. He qualified as a Trust Estate Practitioner (TEP) in 2013 and has experience managing trusts and other bespoke wealth holding structures in leading offshore jurisdictions in the Channel Islands and the Caribbean. Gareth leads a team that is attuned to the needs of (ultra) high-net-worth clients - and his work often involves multiple jurisdictions, professional advisors and asset classes. Gareth has particular experience managing real estate, private equity, listed investments and luxury assets including super yachts. He is also accustomed to working with clients on complex cross-jurisdictional tax matters.
With just over 6 years of Banking and Finance experience, Jorie is now transitioning and building her career in Compliance. She is currently virtually pursuing her BSc in Accounts and Finance at Arden University, in the United Kingdom. She has acquired certifications in AML and ATF programs during her studies. Jorie has the role of the Compliance Assistant.
Marcella was educated in St Vincent and the Bahamas and began work at Coriats in 1988. A director of the trust company since 2004, she has vast experience in the management and administration of trusts and companies, is a Registered Trust & Estate Practitioner, and leads our client services team.
