Andrew Ames

Andrew Ames is an Associate at Cressey & Company. His primary responsibility is to help identify, evaluate, and execute new investment partnerships. Before joining the Cressey team in 2021, Andrew worked for William Blair as an investment banking analyst in the Services & Industrials Group. Andrew earned a BS in Finance from Miami University.

Andy Hurd

Andy Hurd is a Partner at Cressey & Company responsible for identifying, consummating, and monitoring new investment partnerships as well as developing relationships with talented healthcare executives. Andy joined Cressey in 2018 with 30 years of experience in healthcare and healthcare IT leadership, with expertise in product and go-to-market innovation as well as building meaningful strategic partnerships. Andy has served as CEO of three successful healthcare technology businesses. Andy's experience includes Chairman and CEO of MedeAnalytics, a data and analytics provider to providers and health plans, CEO of Epocrates (NASDAQ: EPOC), a mobile clinical application used by half the physicians in the US, and Chairman and CEO of Carefx, which enabled clinical interoperability of data and applications to providers. Andy holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University and serves on the Innovations Advisory Board of Mass General Brigham.

Bary Bailey

Bary Bailey is an Operating Partner with Cressey & Company. Prior to joining the Cressey team in 2010, Bary served as the Chief Financial Officer of AMN Healthcare Services Inc. and, prior to that, as Chief Financial Officer of a global specialty pharmaceutical company. He has also served in executive roles with a variety of other healthcare companies, including PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. where he oversaw Pharmacy Benefit Management and Information Technology, Premier Inc., Tenet Healthcare, American Medical Holdings Inc. and its subsidiary, American Medical International, Inc., as well as Arthur Andersen & Co. He has served on several boards as a director of both public and private companies. Bary is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and holds a BS in Finance from California State University, Long Beach.

Brennan Murray

Brennan Murray is a Partner at Cressey & Company responsible for talent initiatives at the firm and across its portfolio of investments partnerships. Building on Cressey's commitment to partnering with world class leaders, she specifically focuses on sourcing C-suite executives and board directors as well as expanding Cressey's professional network. Brennan joined Cressey in 2017. Prior to joining Cressey, Brennan spent nearly a decade with Sterling Partners, where she built the talent function which focused on C-suite and board director recruiting. Previously, she was with Korn/Ferry International as a partner. Brennan currently sits on the Advisory Council of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and Northwestern Medicine and is actively involved with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cycle for Survival philanthropic organization. Previously, Brennan served on the Advisory Council for the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University and the Corporate Advisory Board of the Greater Illinois Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Brennan earned a BA in Public Relations from Texas Tech University.

Bryan Cressey

Bryan began his career with First Chicago Equity Group and was one of the founders of the firm that became Golder, Thoma, Cressey, Rauner. He co-founded Thoma Cressey Bravo in 1998 and Cressey & Company in 2008. His industry consolidation leadership has been recognized by Fortune and Time magazines, and his particular expertise in the healthcare services field has been widely acknowledged. A member of the Chicago Business Hall of Fame, and the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, Bryan received his BS in Economics at the University of Washington and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a JD from Harvard Law School.

David Rogero

Dave has been with Cressey since the firm was founded in 2008. Prior to joining Cressey, he worked at Thoma Cressey Bravo, a Chicago-based private investment firm; Whole Health Management, an operator of employer-sponsored health centers; and, previously, in the Investment Banking Group of Credit Suisse. Dave earned a BBA, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Dave is also an alum of the 2014 class of the Nashville Health Care Council Fellows program.

Paul Diaz

Paul Diaz is Partner Emeritus at Cressey & Company and a member of the firm's Distinguished Executives Council, as well as current President and CEO of Myriad Genetics, Inc. Prior to joining Myriad Genetics as President and CEO in 2020 and the Cressey team as a partner in 2016, he served as President and CEO of Kindred Healthcare, Inc., one of the largest providers of healthcare services in the US. Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of DaVita and the Board of Visitors of Georgetown University Law Center. He previously served on the boards of PharMerica Corporation, the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, and the Board of Trustees of the Suburban Hospital Healthcare System (today part of Johns Hopkins). Paul earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from American University's Kogod School of Business and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Peter Ehrich

Peter previously was a partner at Cressey & Company's predecessor firm, Thoma Cressey Bravo, which he joined in 2001. Prior to that, he was a principal at a private equity boutique. There, Peter assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of a $150 million portfolio company, where he improved productivity and assisted in growing the business. He previously was an associate at Aurora Capital Partners, and prior to his private equity experience, Peter worked in a variety of healthcare businesses, including a hospital, an HMO, and a private practice. Peter graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics, and he received his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

Scott Maskalunas is Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Cressey & Company, where he oversees all financial matters related to the firm and has been part of the team since 1999. Prior to joining the Cressey team in 2008, Scott was the Chief Financial Officer of Thoma Cressey Bravo, having joined the organization in 1999. Prior to then, he was the Controller at Prudential Securities, an investment bank, and a manager of private equity funds as well as a senior financial analyst at Caremark, Inc. Scott has a degree in Accountancy from DePaul University in Chicago and is a CPA. He is a member of the Illinois Venture Capital Association, a founding board member of the Private Equity Chief Financial Officers Association, and a member of the Illinois CPA Society.

Senator William H. Frist

Senator William H. Frist, MD is Special Partner at Cressey & Company and Chairman of the firm's Distinguished Executives Council. He assists Cressey with developing valuable perspectives on industry, policy, and regulatory trends, and leads the clinical quality program across the firm's investment partnerships. Prior to joining Cressey in 2008, Bill represented Tennessee in the US Senate for 12 years, where he served on both the Finance and HELP committees responsible for writing all health legislation. Bill was elected Majority Leader of the Senate, having served fewer total years in Congress than any person chosen to lead that body in history, and his leadership was instrumental in passage of Medicare Part D prescription drug legislation and PEPFAR funding to fight HIV/AIDS at home and around the world. Prior to the Senate, Bill spent 20 years in clinical medicine, completing surgical training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Stanford. He founded the Vanderbilt Multi-Organ Transplant Center, where he performed over 150 heart and lung transplants. Currently an adjunct professor of Surgery at both Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Meharry Medical School, he serves on the board of directors for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Kaiser Family Foundation. Bill earned an MD from Harvard Medical School and a BA from Princeton University.

Steven Dildine

Steve earned an MBA, with honors, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a degree in Economics and Finance from Princeton University.
