Dr Ruben Diaz

Dr. Diaz has over 20 years of experience. He is Board Certified in the PM&R Specialty, also Board Certified in the Pain Medicine Subspecialty. In the past he was Board Certified in the Spinal Cord Medicine Subspecialty. Dr. Diaz did his undergraduate studies at Rice University and the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed Medical School at UCC in Puerto Rico where he had the opportunity to learn from two of the best Conservative/Musculoskeletal/Sports Medicine Doctors. Dr. Diaz completed his Medical Internship and Specialty Residency Training at Albany Medical Center in Albany N.Y. While most Doctors do a one year fellowship, Dr. Diaz worked with an ISIS ( International Spine Society Intervention ) instructor improving his Interventional skills for 5 years. Dr. Diaz has taught for 3 different Medical schools including 7 years for the Emory University PM&R Department where he was Teacher of the Year in 2004 (amongst PM&R Doctors from Emory Inpatient Hospital, Emory Spine Center, Wesley Woods Hospital, Grady Hospital, Atlanta VAMC and Sheperd's Center ) . He taught Medical Students, PM&R Residents and Attending Physicians on Musculoskeletal clinics, Fluoroscopy guided procedures and Electrodiagnostics among other topics. Dr. Diaz has been working in Georgia for over 20 years. He is considered an excellent diagnostician, and a patient advocate who believes in patient education, maximizing conservative management to help patients increase function, decrease pain and decrease the need for chronic opiate medications, decrease unnecessary surgeries and improve quality of life. Dr. Diaz is a proud Member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and the Spine Interventional Society (SIS), The American College of Sports Medicine and the Medical Association of Georgia. Dr. Diaz is fully fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Sadiq Sohani

Dr. Sadiq Sohani is an accomplished physician with over 20 years of experience in the interventional treatment and diagnosis of acute and chronic pain. He is passionate about his work and has become a leader in offering preeminent pain management solutions and care to his patients. After completing his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain fellowship training at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Sohani served on the Vanderbilt faculty as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine for two years before beginning his practice in the Dalton and Chattanooga areas. He also completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Queens Hospital in New York. Dr. Sohani is the Medical director of CSPM and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He specializes in advanced Interventional Pain management techniques to relieve chronic pain and to restore an active and healthy lifestyle for his patients.

Shahid Sohani

Shahid holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as a master's degree in Operations Management with a minor in Finance from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. Shahid spent 20 years working in various verticals such as pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and ERP integration before beginning as a Practice Manager in the Greater Atlanta area for the Center for Spine and Pain Medicine in 2015. He has successfully established Medicare/State accredited and Joint Commission and AAAHC accredited Ambulatory Surgical Centers in Georgia. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies and taking part in community service.

Shannon Zundel

Shannon is a nationally certified Physician Assistant. She attended West Virginia University for her undergraduate studies, where she earned a degree in Biology. She went on to Philadelphia University to earn her Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Shannon has worked in Interventional Pain Management for over 7 years. She enjoys helping people restore their quality of life by setting goals and working with the patient and their families.

Suleman Sohani

Suleman holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as a bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Karachi in Pakistan. Suleman is a Practice Administrator for the Center for Spine and Pain Medicine, and has been with us since 2005. He has successfully established Medicare/State accredited and Joint Commission accredited Ambulatory Surgical Centers in both Georgia and Tennessee with CSPM's locations in both states.
