Bert played on the school's basketball and volleyball teams and also played the trumpet in the band. Bert decided to venture from the islands for his college degree and went to Cullowhee, North Carolina. He graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. For two years, Bert played for the Western Carolina Catamount's NCAA Division 1 volleyball team and also played the trumpet for four years for the school's marching band. After college, Bert became a restaurant entrepreneur in downtown Honolulu. Bert was the cook, the cashier, the accountant and the janitor. Bert ran the small restaurant for over five years and closed the doors when the State condemned the area to make a park. During his restaurant tenure, Bert went back to school and attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Bert took upper level accounting classes and became a licensed certified public accountant in 1992. Bert worked for the public accounting firm McEnerney, Shimabukuro, Okazaki & Fujita, CPAs for over 11 years.

He was educated at Newton High School, and the University of Miami, where he received his B.A. Degree in Communications. In 1976, he began commuting between California and Hawaii on business, and in 1986, made Hawaii his permanent home. Jeff was recently inducted into the Junior Achievement Hawaii Business Hall of Fame, has also been recognized as the US Small Business Administration's 2001 Small Business Person of the Year for the State of Hawaii and Ernst and Young Hawaii's 2000 Entrepreneur of the Year. Other awards include Pacific Business News 2000 Hawaii's Fastest 50. Jeff is a member and past President of the Honolulu Executives Association, sits on the Board of The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Enterprise Honolulu and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). In 2001 he was appointed by the Governor to sit on the Hawaii State Workforce Development Council where he is an active participant representing the business community. He is a member of Sales and Marketing Executives, the Association of Information Technology Professionals and a founding sponsor of the Hawaii Technology Trade Association. Jeff's passion is mentoring and nurturing young adults with an interest in technology. He is the founder and chairman of HiTech Quest, a non-profit organization created in 1998 to identify, mentor and provide scholarships to Hawaii students who complete Internet, Networking and Application Development projects. When he relocated to Hawaii in 1995,...[read more] After retiring from a 20+ year career with the US Army, where he was involved in Tactical Communications and Recruiting, Lyle became involved with the Internet efforts of the El Paso Community College, helping to start and operate the Rio Grande FreeNet. When he relocated to Hawaii in 1995, he was employed by the Naval Medical Clinic Pearl Harbor and assisted in the growth of their networks and capabilities. With a Masters of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University and being a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, it was only natural to come to work for the best training facility on the Islands. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer, he has delivered many and varied courses, with the primary emphasis on Messaging and Collaboration. As the company has grown, so has Lyle, with the responsibility to investigate the new technologies and methodologies to support CTA and their many customers.

Meyer has worked with many aspects of the information revolution in video, data, and business process automation. As an information technology specialist in finance and marketing for Time Warner Cable he was involved in regional, national, and international projects including the first pay per view video services, automated call centers, digital information and digital music services. In 1995 he created the Oceanic Internet division of Oceanic Time Warner Cable providing commercial Internet services for banks, newspapers, and large businesses in Honolulu. Building on this experience he became general manager of Road Runner Hawaii in 1997 launching one of the first broad band retail Internet services in the United States. In 1999 he founded Wave Internet LLC to develop integrated communication and process management automation for public and private institutions. Wave provides WaveCS™ web portal and content management services to federal and state agencies, education organizations, and select businesses in Hawai'i and the Mainland and management consulting for IT businesses. Mr. Meyer joined the CTA Solutions executive team in September 2005, accepting the post of Vice President overseeing Technology & Operations and became President & Chief Operating Officer in November 2005 to manage the transformation of CTA into a pure information services corporation.
