Jack G. "Chip" Clark

Jack G. "Chip" Clark, Jr. is a life-long resident of Oklahoma City and dates his family's connection here to "the Run of 1889." He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1966 and his J.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1969. Chip started his law practice in the armed services as a legal officer in the United States Army. He has practiced law in Oklahoma City for the past 44 years, concentrating in the areas of probate and guardianships, trusts and estate planning, corporate and business planning, and public utility regulation. Each situation, has its own particular circumstances and potentials which must be weighed and addressed. It is only by exploring all possibilities that the best outcome can be achieved. Chip is currently an active member of several legal organizations, including the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma County Bar Association and serves on several committees of those organizations. He was a long-time member of the Probate Code Committee of OBA which proposes legislation to improve and simplify the probate and guardianship laws of Oklahoma. Of particular enjoyment is service on the OBA's and OCBA's Law Related Education Committees where he teaches school children on the importance of rules, making decisions and legal issues. Chip was chairman of the OCBA LRE Committee from 1999 to 2003. In 2003, the committee received the Outstanding Committee Award from the OCBA. He was later Chairman of the OBA LRE Committee. Outside of the legal arena, Chip is an active member of the community, including past service on the board of directors of Oklahoma City Beautiful. He and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 47 years. They have two sons, Jay and Stoney, and five grandchildren.
