Cypress Hill M.U.D. #1 is a municipal utility district created by an order of the Texas Water Commission (now the TCEQ) dated September 24, 1979, after a hearing upon a petition for creation. The creation of the district was confirmed at an election held within the District on April 4, 1981. The rights powers, privileges, authority and functions of the districts are established by the general laws of the State of Texas pertaining to municipal utility districts...
