Clifton C. Curry

Mr. Curry is a civil trial lawyer and has had his own firm for most of his career. He has been recognized by Judges and his colleagues as one of the preeminent lawyers in his field receiving an "AV' rating from Martindale Hubbell. He has an active Civil Trial Practice participating in civil trials involving Commercial, Personal Injury, Family Issues and General Business Litigation. In addition to his successful Law Practice he served as a Founding Director and General Counsel of Platinum Bank from 1997 through 2012. Mr. Curry has served as President of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. He was recognized as Brandon Small Business Man of the Year, The Honorary Mayor of Brandon, served on the Tampa Committee 100 Policy Board, received the Alice B. Thompkins Community Service Award, The Missing Children's Help Center Volunteer of Year of Award, the Brandon Lions Service Award, and the Brandon Key Citizen Award which is given for long term and continuing service to the community. Most recently he was selected for The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers. Mr. Curry is a proud member of the Brandon Bar Association. Mr. Curry devotes substantial time to the community today and to the Foundation his family founded in honor of their son Trey, who passed away unexpectedly in 2008 at the age of twenty (20). The Trey Curry Foundation has successfully raised funds to assist children in need in the community and has recently agreed sponsor the Trey Curry home at A Kids Place Tampa Bay which houses foster children together as a family unit with their siblings. He was also a founding Trustee of the Brandon Community Foundation. He has been an officer or Board Member of many organizations of the years including the Boys and Girls Club, the Kiwanis Club of Brandon, the Brandon Outreach Center, Kiwanis Children's Clinic, South Brandon Little League , Big Brothers Big Sisters, Missing Children's Help Center, Roughriders, President's Roundtable and Center Place. Mr. Curry has also supported many other charitable organizations in the area including March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Easter Seal, University of South Florida oundation for Psychiatry, YMCA and the Brandon Lions Club. Mr. Curry is proud of his Masonic affiliation and his contributions to Shrine Hospitals for Children having served as General Counsel for the Egypt Shrine on a volunteer basis for over twenty-five (25) years. Mr. Curry also served as General Counsel for the Grand Lodge of Florida Masons and was named the outstanding Mason of Florida accepted the John P. Duval award for the Outstanding Florida Mason in 1997. In addition to his involvement in the community, Mr. Curry has also been involved with the Florida State University Alumni and Seminole Boosters. He sponsored the Bobby Bowden Spring Golf Tournament in Hillsborough County for about twenty (20) years until Bowden's retirement more than 5 years ago. He has served on the National Board of Directors for Seminole Boosters, a scholarship donor and a Golden Chief. Mr. Curry is also a member of the Florida State University President's Club. Mr. Curry has been involved in politics for the past thirty (30) years having served on many National and Statewide Campaigns. He was honored to serve as counsel for the Bush/Chaney Campaign in 2000 during the "hanging chad" controversy in Hillsborough County. He also served as Regional Counsel for Bush/Chaney in 2004. Mr. Curry has also supported of MacDill Air Force Base Mission for many years. He had the honor of serving as Inspector of the Blue Angels during his year as Brandon Chamber of Commerce President and has remained active in the base mission continuously throughout the years. He and his wife, Terry, recently welcomed over 275 members of the Coalition Forces to their home for a "American Barbeque". Mr. Curry is a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association and serves as a trustee of the FJA Political Action Committee for the past 3 years.

Daniel W. King

Mr. King is a civil and criminal lawyer with over 30 years of experience practicing in various State courts in and around Hillsborough County. He has been recognized by Judges and other Lawyers of The Florida Bar as an "AV" Preeminent Lawyer in his fields of practice, the highest rating possible. Mr. King's primary areas of practice include Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Premises Liability, and Criminal Misdemeanors and Felonies. Mr. King is a native Floridian having grown up in the Tampa area. Mr. King graduated from Tampa Jesuit High School in 1981 before attending Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He obtained both a Business Degree in Marketing (B.S.B.A. 1985) and a Law Degree (J .D. 1988) from the University of Florida. Mr. King began his professional career as a Certified Legal Intern with the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office in 1987 while still enrolled as a 2nd year Law Student at the University of Florida. This certification allowed him to practice law, including trying cases in the Criminal Courts while still a law student. Upon graduation in 1988, Mr. King continued his work at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office as a full time Assistant State Attorney under State Attorney, Bill James. During his four year tenure with the State Attorney's Office, Mr. King attained the positions of Misdemeanor Division Chief, Juvenile Division Chief, Felony Career Criminal Prosecutor and, ultimately, as a Lead Trial Attorney where he prosecuted the most difficult and heinous cases. Mr. King's extensive work as a Prosecutor gave him considerable trial experience as well as a unique insight into his current Criminal Defense practice. After leaving the government sector, Mr. King began his private civil practice in 1992 with Smith, Williams and Bowles, P.A. where he earned Partner status with the Firm. Mr. King's area of practice during that time focused on insurance defense, primarily as a defense lawyer for State Farm Insurance Company. During his over four years of representing insurance companies, Mr. King gained valuable insight into the inner workings of the insurance defense industry. In 1996, Mr. King took his insurance defense experience and "switched sides" representing injured parties. Mr. King partnered with Curry Law Group, P.A. in 1996 where he took over the firm's personal injury practice. Over the next 25 years, Mr. King built a thriving personal injury practice, all while aggressively protecting the rights of those Plaintiffs injured in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, and other general negligence claims. Mr. King has a passion and dedication for protecting victims and ensuring that such injured parties have a strong voice in opposition to the insurance companies. In order to keep the personal injury practice up-to-date with the ever changing laws, Mr. King remains involved with several professional associations including: Hillsborough County Bar Association, Brandon Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers, and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. King enjoys spending time with his wife and three children here in Brandon, Florida. Although his children are now grown adults having all followed his footsteps to the University of Florida, Mr. King remains involved in many Brandon community associations and activities. Mr. King has a keen interest in working with kids having served as a Guardian Ad Litem in Hillsborough County Courts giving minors a voice in court proceedings. Outside of court Mr. King works with kids through the Campo YMCA where he has held several volunteer positions of leadership. Mr. King was a member of the Board of Directors at the Campo YMCA as well as Chairman of the Campo YMCA Basketball Committee. Additionally, Mr. King spent many years coaching Youth Basketball Teams at the YMCA. He has since retired from coaching but can still be found regularly at the YMCA gym. Mr. King's community involvement extends from First Presbyterian Church of Brandon where he was an Elder to his local neighborhood where he is the President of his Homeowner's Association. He is also a regular speaker and participant in Hillsborough County School's Great American Teach-In Program. His firm is actively involved with the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. Mr. King enjoys other memberships with the Egypt Temple Shrine, York Rite Masonic Bodies, Master Masons, Ducks Unlimited, University of Florida Boosters, University of Florida Alumni Association, and the Tampa Gator Club.

Louis Daniel Lazaro

Louis Daniel Lazaro, Esquire, is a member of the Florida Bar, admitted to practice law before the State's Courts and the Federal Middle District Court of Florida. He is also a Certified Family Law Mediator. He practices in the areas of family law, business law, probate, and civil litigation. He speaks and understands Spanish. Louis (Lou) Daniel Lazaro was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1963. He moved to Florida in 1971, and has lived here ever since. Lou is a graduate of the University of Florida (1988). After graduation, he went into the family business (retail store owner & manager) for five years before going to law school. Lou received his juris doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in 1997, graduated top 25% of his class, was the Executive Editor for ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law, Moot Court Society Member, and Vice President of the Law School's Student Chapter of the American Trial Lawyers Association. He completed a law school program as a Florida Supreme Court certified legal intern at the Broward County State Attorney's Office in 1997, where he prosecuted misdemeanor criminal cases under the supervision of attorneys who were Florida Bar Members. In 1997, Lou was accepted into the Florida Bar and became a licensed attorney. He opened a law practice in Saint Petersburg, Florida in 1998. In 2001, he went to work for the State of Florida's Department of Children and Families Services in Polk County, Florida, as a Senior Attorney. He rose to the rank of Managing Attorney for Polk, Hardee, and Highland County, and left the Department in 2006 to work at a private law firm in Sarasota, Florida. In 2007 he joined the State of Florida's Attorney General's Office at its Tampa Office and served there for five years before joining the Curry Law Group in 2012.

Attorney Mark Howard received his law degree in 1988 and has been practicing law in Florida since then. Robin S. Trupp has 30-plus years of experience in litigation with an emphasis on transactional facets of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors rights, real estate law and employment law. He also has represented clients with needs related to aviation law, securities and antitrust issues, insurance and tort matters, and intellectual property issues. Representing companies throughout Florida and across the United States, Mr. Trupp's diverse client list includes lenders and creditors involved in lender liability defense, manufacturers in products defects cases, and businesses in non-compete and antitrust disputes. Mr. Trupp has also developed niche experience in equine law. He frequently oversees the transfer and ownership of horses, as well as interests in horses, and matters impacting the industry. Mr. Trupp received his BA from the University of South Florida, and his MBA and JD from Tulane University. Mr. Trupp is a native of Tampa and an active member of the community. He is a member of the Pinellas County Horse Show Association (and a former member of the Board of Directors), the Central Florida Hunter Jumper Association, and the Plant High Rowing Association.
