Amy M. Crosbie

Amy is a partner with Curtis Dawe Lawyers with over 27 years of litigation experience in range of practice areas. She completed a B.Sc.(Biology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1992 and a LL.B from the University of New Brunswick in 1995. Amy is a member of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation and the Canadian Media Lawyers Association on which she previously served as the Atlantic Canadian representative. She served two four year terms as a Bencher of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. She is a past Chair of Newfoundland and Labrador Crime Stoppers and was appointed an Honourary Life Member of the Royal St. John's Regatta Committee after serving for over 10 years a committee and executive member.

Annette M. Conway

Annette is a partner with Curtis Dawe with over 25 years of litigation experience in a range of practice areas. She completed a B.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1991 and an LL.B from the University of Windsor in 1994. She was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 1995. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2021 she obtained a certificate in HLS4X Bioethics: The Law, Medicine, and Ethics of Reproductive Technologies and Genetics through HarvardX. Annette has been the legal representative on the Non-Clinical Trials Committee for the Health Research Ethics Board in Newfoundland and Labrador since 2013. She is currently a director on the board of PLIAN (Public Legal Information Association of NL), an independent non-profit that provides general information and education with the intent of increasing access to justice. She is also a director on the Torbay History House Museum Board. In her spare time, she volunteers as a parent rep for the St, John's Legends, enjoys hiking the East Coast Trails with her family and is at work on a novel.

Aubrey L. Bonnell

Mr. Bonnell is a senior partner of Curtis Dawe with 50 years of experience in a wide range of practice areas. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science and History) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 1970. He was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in December 1970. Mr. Bonnell is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Canadian Bar Association. He is an elder of St. David's Presbyterian Church and a member of the Presbytery of Newfoundland of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.

Daniel M. Glover

Dan has conducted legal research and writing for the Pro Bono Society of Canada. He is also a volunteer with the Canadian Bar Association, having served on the executive of the St. John's branch and as Civil Litigation Section Chair.

Frankie Leonard

Professional Experience: Frankie joined the firm as a Summer Student in May of 2022 and returned as an Articling Student in June of 2023. She anticipates being called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in June of 2024. Born and raised in Happy Valley- Goose Bay, she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Certificate in Criminology from Memorial University (2020) and a Juris Doctor with an Aboriginal and Indigenous Law Specialization from the Schulich School of Law (2023). Frankie has a special interest in Family Law, Wills and Estates, Medical Malpractice Defence, Labour Law, and Insurance Litigation. Frankie hopes to take an empathetic and helpful approach with clients, ensuring to provide a trauma informed lens to practice. She hopes to grow and advance in her career to provide advice to clients in a wide range of areas. Throughout her law school career, Frankie was involved with Pro Bono Dalhousie, the Dalhousie Law Student's Society Orientation Committee, the Domus Legis Society as well as the Canadian Bar Association at the Provincial and National level. She also volunteered as a Mentor with She Connects and Co-Chaired Metro University's Relay for Life in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. She previously served as a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Premier's Youth Council and was the delegate for Labrador at Daughters of the Vote 2019.

Gregory M. Smith

Greg is a partner at Curtis Dawe. He has practiced law as litigation counsel and advocate since 1989 following his LLB (1988) from the University of New Brunswick and his M.Ed. (1984) and B.A., B.Ed. (1981) and from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Greg is the Civil Litigation Section Chair and an instructor with the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Bar Admission Course. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Ian F. Kelly

Ian was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1996. He is also a Master of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ian has been consistently recognized by his peers as among The Best Lawyers in Canada. Ian has again been recognized in the 2020 Edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in the areas of Bet-the-Company Litigation, Construction Law, Corporate and Commercial Litigation, and Legal Malpractice Law. He was named "Lawyer of the Year" for his work in Corporate and Commercial Litigation in St. John's, NL. Ian currently serves as a member of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment Advisory Council. Nicole has a special interest in Family Law, Wills and Estates, Media and Privacy, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Employment Law. When attending to clients' needs and resolving disputes, Nicole takes a compassionate and thorough approach to provide exceptional service. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University (2014) and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick (2017). Tr avis is the current Vice President of the Canadian Bar Association - NL Branch. He further volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rising Tide Association and Credit Counselling Services of NL. Throughout his university career, Travis was an active member of the student union in both MUN and UNB sitting as his faculty representative. In his final year of law school, he was recognized as the "Councillor of the Year" for his work. In his spare time, Travis enjoys experiencing the lively Newfoundland drama and musical scene as a member of the audience.
