David is the managing partner of Daggett Shuler. He has practiced personal injury law since 1985. He is experienced in assisting clients with all types of injury cases, including serious injuries, wrongful death, and insurance claims. Over the years his clients have included professional runners, bicyclists, and triathletes including Ironman™ champions. He has represented top military officers and Olympic athletes from three continents. Most of all he loves people and helping them in times of need.

David Daggett has received numerous accolades and awards for the Safe Sober program, including The North Carolina Governor's Highway Safety Award for Public Service, an honor never before given to a law firm. He has also been given the National Trial Lawyers Care Award from the American Association for Justice, as well as the American Bar Association Award for Dignity in Lawyer Advertising for his promotion of the Safe Sober Program. In 2009, he received the Ford Ironman Everyday Hero Award including being featured worldwide on ESPN and Universal sports.

Griff Shuler was motivated to become an attorney by a strong desire to help other people in need. He is an Executive Partner at the firm and is a Board-Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law.
Griff concentrates his practice in Workers' Compensation claims and complex third-party cases. He has extensive experience in handling many different types of workers' compensation claims before the North Carolina Industrial Commission for over 26 years. He has handled cases involving traumatic brain injury, serious back injuries, neck injuries, severe fractures of the hand, arm, feet or leg, rotator cuff and other shoulder injuries, knee injuries, hip injuries, ligament injuries, cartilage injuries, occupational disease cases, and many other types of work-related injuries.
Griff enjoys educating injured workers regarding their legal rights. He believes in being supportive and compassionate to each client, and he desires to guide them through the entire process of their claim.
Griff is a former college soccer forward, and he was a two-time Academic All-American and Co-Captain of the team. He uses the lifelong skills learned on the soccer field, such as the discipline of training, teamwork, and the reward of winning, to seek excellent outcomes for his clients. Griff and his team of professionals work hard to do everything possible to obtain positive results for Daggett Shuler clients.
Griff is a strong believer in good health and fitness. He enjoys sports, travel, music, and spending time with his family. He is active in his church and has served as a church Elder, an adult Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Facilities & Finance Committee, as well as other church committees. Griff and his wife have one daughter.

James Cohn believes that all injured and disabled people deserve a strong advocate. He works hard to advance their cause and strives to give sound advice throughout their case. James has broad experience helping people in many situations, litigating both workers' compensation and personal injury liability claims. Julie is a former college swimmer and an avid runner. She has even become a mentor for Winston-Salem's local Fleet Feet running program, training with beginners and encouraging them to reach their running goals. Julie and her husband live in Forsyth county and are very much looking forward to their next Disney vacation.
