Adam joined Datum in 2018 after working as a Senior Design Engineer for a prominent New York City structural engineering firm. His design expertise encompasses a wide range of structural systems and building types, from small-scale historic renovations to high-rise and cultural facilities.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Alistair started at Datum's Austin office in 2018. During graduate school, he focused on prestressed concrete research, as a result, he is a valuable resource for post-tensioned concrete design, as well as the design of concrete moment frames and two-way flat slabs. He is also known around the office for his positive attitude and analytical nature. Alistair has applied these skills to several higher education and office buildings, such as the Academic Sciences Building at Texas Tech, McKinney Municipal Complex, and the office building of TxDOT's Stassney Campus.
Alistair earned both his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Honors and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Archie is an Associate at Datum and has more than a decade of experience as a Structural Technician. He joined our firm in 2005, soon after graduating from Texas State Technical College with an associate degree in drafting and design technology (architectural/civil specialization). Archie excels in building information modeling, particularly Revit modeling, and collaborates with project managers throughout the design process. He also documents information furnished by our design team. He has worked on a variety of project types, including museums, health care facilities, religious institutions and retail centers.

Azeem joined the Dallas office in 2016. He is a valuable team member and has a passion for problem solving and learning from those experiences. His project experience includes a diverse range of projects including healthcare, higher education, commercial, K-12, and renovations. His notable projects include UT Arlington's Science & Engineering Innovation & Research Building, Dallas County Records Building Complex, and UT Southwestern Radiation Oncology Phase 2.
He received his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India, and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Brian is approaching his 20th year as a Professional Engineer with Datum. His projects include historic renovations, higher education, religious, commercial and cultural buildings. He is an experienced project manager and has managed large, high-profile projects such as the renovations at of Highland Park Village and Dallas County Records Building Complex.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University (Cum Laude) and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Bryan joined Datum in 2019 and is an Associate in the Austin office. His design experience has concentrated on K-12, residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings.
Bryan earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from The University of Texas in Austin. Prior to completing his Master's Degree, Bryan worked as a bridge design engineer in Austin for nearly five years with experience in prestressed concrete girder and steel plate girder bridges.

Chris is a Senior Structural Technician at Datum. An expert in AutoCad and BIM, he joined our firm in 1997 and works closely with our engineers to produce working drawings and he collaborates with architects and other consultants to coordinate drawings. His project experience includes higher education, health care, high-rise residential, large historic renovations, convention centers, religious facilities, and commercial buildings.
Notable projects include: Booker T. Washington High School of Performing and Visual Arts; Children's Health Dallas; UT Texas Southwestern Medical Center Radiation Oncology Building; Dallas Convention Center; Christus Spohn Hospital; and Naples Botanical Gardens in Florida; he earned his associate degree in applied science drafting and design from Central Texas College.

Darryl joined our team in 1988. He is an Associate Principal and our BIM Manager. With three decades of structural technician and managerial experience, he has worked on a variety of project types, including higher education, health care, high-rise residential, large historic renovations, convention centers, religious facilities and commercial buildings. Signature projects include Parkland Hospital; Perot Museum of Nature & Science; Christus Spohn Hospital; Old Red Museum; Dallas Convention Center; Amon Carter Museum; Rangers Ballpark in Arlington; and Exxon's corporate headquarters in Las Colinas.
He earned two associate degrees from Texas State Technical Institute: one in architectural drafting and design, and the other in building construction technology.

Dave is a Associate Principal and Project Manager with over 10 years of providing structural engineering expertise to our clients. He has extensive experience in system evaluations, retrofits, renovations and new construction of concrete, steel, wood, masonry and light gauge steel structures. His project experience includes design of higher education, health care, commercial and cultural buildings.
Dave earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Mechanics & Materials from the University of California at Berkeley. He received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, Summa Cum Laude.

Dempsey joined Datum in 2019 as an experienced structural revit technician in the San Antonio office. He brings a wealth of experience for that office. Dempsey is a perfectionist and is always on the lookout for improvements. While at Datum, he has worked on many high-profile projects including, the Alamo Collections Building, Walker Ranch Phases I & II, and Wursthalle and Marktplatz Reconstruction, as well as historical buildings like the Alamo, and the Continental Building to name a few.
Dempsey earned his Associate's Degree in Applied Drafting and Design technology from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Texas.

Edwin joined Datum in 2016 and is a Senior Associate in the Dallas office. He is a talented project engineer and a dedicated team member. His project experience includes healthcare, higher education, K12, parking garages, and commercial buildings. His projects have included a new headquarters for CoverMyMeds, a healthcare campus for Christus Health, the STLC building for the Texas Woman's University and the CVAD building for the University of North Texas.
Edwin received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Pune, India. Prior to completing his Master's, he gained valuable industry experience working as a project engineer for a general contractor on a large hospital project. He then earned his Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structures) from The University of Texas at Austin.

Erika is a Principal at Datum. She serves as the Business Development Director for our offices in Austin and San Antonio. A 20-year veteran of the firm, her responsibilities include fostering relationships with clients, owners, and industry peers; and supporting and coordinating new client and project development.

Galen joined Datum in 1981 and he provides leadership, technical expertise, and management for the project teams. His four decades of experience includes design of many project types including higher education, health care, commercial buildings, libraries, and parking garages. His penchant for excellence was demonstrated early on, when he graduated with honors in architectural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Signature projects in Galen's portfolio include, Hutto Performing Arts Center, the Austin City Hall garage and tunnels, the Austin State Capitol restoration and expansion and Seton Southwest Hospital.

Gus joined Datum in 2014. He has over 20 years of experience providing accounts receivable and accounts payable. He is a dedicated member of our team.
In his spare time, Gus spends time traveling with friends and enjoys his two beloved pugs, Emmett and Kirby.
Han joined Datum's Chicago team in 2023 after 10 years with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He has managed engineering teams in Chicago, San Francisco, New York and Shanghai as the lead structural engineer. Han has built strong client relationships with architects and consultants for projects in the US, China, Australia and Taiwan (ROC). His expertise includes structural design of supertalls, performance-based nonlinear analysis, and parametric design of geometry-intensive structures.
He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the Tongji University in Shanghai, China and both a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Jason is an Associate and Project Engineer with over 20 years of experience working throughout Texas providing structural engineering design primarily on institutional projects. He is an experienced structural engineer who focuses on quality and cost-effective solutions for higher education projects including labs, science & technology, general education, medical, and residential. He is also a Certified Windstorm Inspector through the Texas Windstorm Insurance program.

Jeff joined Datum in 2007. His project experience includes K-12, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, and cultural buildings. His career highlights include large projects such as the Diamond Building at Mueller, and the renovation and expansion of McNeil High School for Round Rock ISD.

Jeremy is the consummate engineer: thoughtful, organized, and thorough; he inspires confidence in his clients and teammates through his hard work and insights. A strong project manager with over 15 years of experience, his project experience includes complicated, large-scale projects, such as the $200-million UT Engineering Education and Research Center and the UT Austin Rowling Hall (Graduate School of Business). He has worked on numerous higher ed projects for the University of Texas system, Texas State, Concordia University, St. Edward's University, Alamo Colleges, and Austin Presbyterian Seminary, as well as K-12 projects. In his role as Austin Operations Manager, he directs staffing and personnel matters.
Jeremy attended UT Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
Jeremy Klahorst distinguished himself with his service to our team for Texas State University's School of Nursing in Round Rock. We appreciated his creativity while working with us to resolve structural issues in a timely way. He was also one of the contractor's favorite consultants - he was accessible, patient, and worked with them as needed to create workable solutions. Having him on the team contributed to the success of the project, and we look forward to working with him again soon.

Jessica serves as the business development director in the Dallas office, focused on strategic growth for the firm. This includes fostering relationships across the industry, identifying opportunities, and promoting the team's work and qualifications.
She holds a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining Datum, Jessica worked across the commercial real estate industry in various roles, and first got into the AEC side in business development for a multifamily architect.
Jim has been involved with and led the structural design of some of the world's most fascinating buildings, and his background includes experience in the design of tall buildings and complicated structures throughout the world. Jim is a leader in the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois, and also involved with the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings, and has co-authored more than a dozen technical papers on structural engineering projects and innovations. He also is heavily involved at his alma mater, The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, teaching classes for both the School of Architecture and the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. He has more than 25 years in the engineering profession.
Jim Pawlikowski is one of the finest structural engineers I have ever worked with:
his structural abilities exhibited in his designs and during field inspections are exceptional and include consideration to accommodate all the necessary architectural and MEP details. He is always helpful, understanding and timely with his work and with solutions to problems that arise during design and construction. He provides clear and useful direction to solve budget and coordination problems that arise during design as well as field problems due to issues that arise during construction. His communication is effective whether to the top managers or to the trade forces performing the work.
Larry has an eye for detail, responsiveness, creativity, and sensitivity to good design-attributes that mirror our firm's philosophy of "The Art of Structural Engineering." He has two bachelor's degrees from UT Austin-one in architecture and the other in architectural engineering-and also a master's in engineering. His 15+ year career includes experience as a structural project manager and engineer-of-record.
Lee is a Principal and Project Manager at Datum, providing structural engineering services for a variety of project types, including commercial buildings, higher education, religious facilities and parking garages. Several of his notable structural projects include NPG Energy, Chase Building renovations in downtown Dallas, and new parking garages at Parkland Hospital, The University of Texas at Arlington, and Texas Christian University.
His bachelor's degree in civil engineering and master's degree in structural engineering were both earned from Texas A&M University.

Luke builds strong bonds with staff and clients alike, demonstrating his enthusiasm, commitment and positivity in his approach to life and work. Luke has worked on a wide variety of prominent structures, including significant projects well over $100M in size. Early in his career, he was the Lead Design Engineer for the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, and since then has served as Project Manager and Engineer-of-Record for many of Datum's institutional projects. These include UT Dell Medical School Health Transformation Building and Health Center garage, the Austin Central Library, the UT East Campus parking garage, and now the Austin State Hospital overhaul. Clients appreciate his can-do attitude and team success approach. He leads with gusto both inside and outside the firm in his role as Managing Principal of the Austin office.
He received his bachelor's in civil engineering from The University of Tennessee, and his master's in civil engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Marty is a Principal at Datum and serves on its Board of Directors. He currently oversees the health care design studio in our Austin office. He received his master's in structural engineering from UT Austin and has nearly four decades of experience working with structural systems and complex building design.
Since joining Datum in 1996, Michael has earned valuable experience not only as a structural engineer but also as a business leader. He serves as our President and provides leadership on our Board of Directors. He serves as Principal in Charge of projects, providing guidance, direction, and ideas to project teams. Michael's educational background brings value to his work as a corporate leader. He holds various degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. Michael has a master's degree in structural engineering and two bachelor degrees. His undergraduate technical degree in civil engineering includes a concentration in structural design. Through The University of Texas at Austin's dual degree honors program, he obtained an additional degree in liberal arts which has provided him with the business tools to enhance his leadership acumen.
Throughout his 20+ year career at Datum, he has designed a wide variety of structural systems and building markets, including higher education, laboratory, health care, K-12, cultural, commercial, and residential. Nima has brought design expertise to a wide array of Datum projects from small municipal structures to massive educational facilities design and renovation. His expertise includes the specialty design of complicated structural systems and elements, such as post-tensioned transfer girders and deep beams.
Paul joined Datum after achieving his master's degree in civil engineering during his graduate studies, he worked as a research assistant, focusing on concrete material behavior. His undergraduate degree is also in civil engineering. At Datum, he has specialized in the K-12 and higher education markets, as well as office and multifamily.
Two years after joining Datum, Paul spent 24 months in France, working on structural designs throughout the United Arab Emirates. One significant project was the Al Raha Beach development project, for which Paul completed all of the finite element analysis for an organically shaped and curved through-truss pedestrian bridge.

Rodolfo's 20+ year career primarily involves work in the higher education, K12, historic renovations, and commercial markets. As Technical Director, Stephen works closely with our project managers to guide the technical and analytical execution of the structural design. He has also served on our Board of Director's and is a firm Principal.
Stephen's portfolio includes a variety of large, notable structural projects including Parkland Hospital, Christus Spohn Heath System, and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His diverse project experience includes parking garages, commercial buildings, cultural facilities, health care, and higher education.
Stephen graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in civil engineering. He then went on to Stanford University when he completed a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering, specializing in structures.

Swarna joined Datum in 2016 and was recently promoted to Associate. She has a can-do attitude and is dedicated to her profession and her role in the firm. Tim's ingenuity and passion for architecture has led him to a broad portfolio over the last decade including historic preservation, museums, botanical gardens, breweries, distilleries, libraries, public K-12, private charter schools, higher education, offices, retail, garages, low-rise hotels, art installations, multifamily housing and high-end residential. Tim has long-held a passion for architecture and has been fortunate to use that passion in his work alongside many talented architects.
Tony serves as Senior BIM Technician. This BIM expert has more than a decade of experience working as a structural technician. Tony has been involved in many complicated, large-scale projects, such as the $200-million UT Engineering Education and Research Center, the $66-million UT Dell Medical School Center for Health Transformation and the Health Center garage, and the city of Austin's Central Library.
He earned his bachelor's in architecture from UT Arlington.
