There were, however, a small group of people who were unhappy with the way the world was run. Still upset over the split of the kingdoms, even after these many, many years, older generations of their family had passed down to them a sense of resentfulness concerning the division of Damasca. One such man, a magician by the name of Trunker, was discontent with the world. He saw problems everywhere - if only he could solve them! To him, the Golden Age was a "Gilded Age" - golden only on the outside. Rotting within, the people in his region of Damasca were impoverished, and did not share in the wealth of the rest of the world. Eager to help his kin, he trained intensely in his family's traditional but underground profession - necromancy. Using his ability and power, he rose to the highest position in his village.
