The company was founded in 1967 by its Chairman Syed A. K. Masud. It all started with trading commodity items followed by supply and servicing of construction, irrigation, and on-site power generation equipment for development projects. Within the next couple of decades, the company began its core operation by representing world class manufacturers and turned out to be one of the leading names in Bangladesh for supplying industrial engineering equipment.

Syed Khalid Masud, joined Dana Engineers International Ltd in June 1996 as share holder director. Since January' 2004, he is performing as Chairman of Dana Group. Ever since he joined his focus was to bring the company status to a world standard. Dana Group is now widely known as reputed diversified company. he looks after the service and the technical part of the group and the operational part as well as and when required. He is a Graduated with Physics from North Texas, USA in 1996-2003.
