Dr. Ahmed Nasrullah

Dr. Nasrullah is a fellowship trained, a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 15 years of experience in the field of ophthalmic diseases and ocular surgery. His area of focus includes 2.2 mm micro-incisional cataract surgery using state-of-the-art technologies such as multifocal implants, toric implants, and the infinity ultrasonic cataract phacoemulsification system. Dr. Nasrullah is one of the few surgeons in the greater DC area with fellowship training in Laser Vision Correction. He has over ten years experience in laser eye surgery and uses some of the most advanced systems such as the VISX Star 4 Custom Laser Platform. He also performs corneal transplants, DSAEK (microinsional partial corneal graft), glaucoma surgery, diabetic and glaucoma laser surgery and retinal laser surgery. Dr. Nasrullah founded Dulles Eye Associates in 2002 and is the medical director of the center. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The George Washington University Hospital and is a staff surgeon at Georgetown Hospital, Fairfax Hospital, and Loudoun Hospital. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on biomedical engineering, at The Georgia Institute of Technology and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee.Dr. Nasrullah completed his eye surgery residency at the prestigious Dean McGee Eye Institute. He was then selected for the single year fellowship training position at The Dean McGee Eye Institute in LASIK and Corneal Transplants. A fellowship is an additional advanced surgical training year that only some ophthalmologists receive. Dr. Nasrullah has been recognized as being a "Top Doctor" in Northern Virginia and has also been recognized as being one the "Top Ophthalmologists" in the United States. He continues to lecture on various surgical and medical topics to other eye doctors and participates in training eye surgeons in residency programs.

Dr. Leyla Najafi

Dr. Leyla Najafi graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information System (MIS). Her interest in Eye Health Care led her to pursue the field of Optometry. Dr. Najafi received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003 from Nova South Eastern University in Florida. She has been practicing Optometry for past eight years. Dr. Najafi specializes in correction of Refractive error and contact lens fitting. She sees patients of all ages, and she promotes Youth eye health care.

Dr. Salman Dar

Dr. Dar is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK), and a wide range of other medical conditions of the eye. Dr. Dar has extensive experience in cataract surgery having performed thousands of micro-incision cataract surgeries, utilizing the latest laser-assisted technologies as well as years of experience with toric, multifocal, and trifocal lens implants to help reduce the need for glasses after cataract surgery. He also performs refractive laser procedures on the cornea such as LASIK and PRK. In addition to this, he is fellowship trained in Glaucoma and able to treat a wide range of glaucoma patients ranging from mild to severe cases. He performs various Glaucoma laser procedures (LPI, SLT, etc.), newer Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS), and traditional filtering (Trabeculectomy) and tube shunt (Glaucoma Implant) surgeries. Dr. Dar received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and the University of Minnesota, where he grew up in the Midwest. He then went on to perform his residency and fellowship training on the east coast at the George Washington University and Columbia University, respectively. He was awarded the prestigious honor of serving as Chief Resident during his training. Dr. Dar has taught many residents cataract surgery at Columbia University in New York, and since moving back to the greater Washington D.C. area he has continued teaching residents at the George Washington University. Dr. Dar has numerous peer-reviewed publications in ophthalmology, such as his most recent publication in the Journal of Glaucoma. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Dar speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Spanish fluently. He also performs surgical mission trips abroad doing complex cataract, glaucoma and other eye surgeries in Ecuador and Guatemala. When he is not working, he enjoys traveling with his wife and family as well as playing guitar and various sports such as soccer, tennis, basketball and biking.

Dr. Tony Kang

Dr. Tony Kang is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist. He performs cataract surgery utilizing the latest technologies including laser-assisted surgery as well as multifocal and toric implants. He also specializes in the diagnosis and management of medical retinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and retinal tears. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and has been a co-investigator for many clinical trials in Retina. After receiving his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, Dr. Kang obtained his medical degree at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester Flaum Eye Institute where he served as Chief Resident followed by a fellowship in Medical Retina at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute. Dr. Kang is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Kang speaks English, Korean and basic Spanish. Dr. Kang's interest outside of medicine include basketball, hiking, and spending time with his wife and daughter. He is excited to move to the Northern Virginia region to provide care to the patients living in the area.
