Dr. Amanda Baltazar

Dr. Baltazar is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry with an interest in primary eye care. Amanda is a Chicopee native, having attended Chicopee High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2016 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). In my spare time, I enjoy photography and embroidery!

Dr. Amy Beam

Undergraduate Education: Southeastern Louisiana University - undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine with a minor in Psychology. Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Optometry School: University of Alabama at Birmingham - 2009. The reason I became an optometrist is: I always knew that I wanted to be a doctor of some sort, however, I did not feel that surgery was the route I wanted to take. After studying about the brain and its functions in my psychology courses, I fell in love with the eyes. It's amazing to know what can be detected by just looking into someone eyes. So, this was the perfect fit for me to help people stay healthy. My favorite part of helping my patients is: allowing them to see as best as they possibly can and ensuring that they continue to see that well for many years to come. In my spare time, I enjoy: Reading, exercising, spending time with my family.

Dr. Arianna Antunez

The eye is one of the most interesting organs of the human body. It truly is the window to the rest of the body. I love teaching and showing my patient's just how important and valuable an annual eye exam can be. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By striving to improve and enhance every single patient's quality of vision which is directly correlated to quality of life. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? All of my patient's leave the office feeling like they had the most thorough yet efficient comprehensive eye exam with all of their questions answered. It's about the patient now feeling comfort in knowing they found their eye doctor for the years to come. How are you impacting your local community? Dr. Carolyn Allen

Dr. Cassie Benedick

Bachelor of Science in Biology; Optometry School: University of Houston, College of Optometry, magna cum laude Member: American Optometric Association (AOA), Texas Optometric Association (TOA), Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK), Student Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, Clinical Letters of Excellence in Contact Lenses and Family Care Dr. Cassie Benedick is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist with focused training in pediatrics, orthokeratology and complex contact lens fitting. She trained clinically at Bellaire Family Eyecare where she provided primary eye care to patients of all ages and gained experience in pediatric optometry, vision therapy, and specialty contact lens fittings. Originally from Graham, TX she is happy to be back in North Texas after practicing her first few years out of school in Houston. In her spare time, Dr. Benedick enjoys attending Aggie football games, traveling, spending time outdoors, rooting on our Dallas sports teams with her Husband, Billy, and chasing around her son, Tripp, and daughter, Charlotte.

Dr. Charles Beatty

Dr. Beatty came from the Washington, D.C. suburbs after attending undergrad at Ohio and Post-Grad at Nova-Southeastern in Florida. He served 12 years active duty as a Medical Officer working in Aerospace Medicine at the Air Force after graduating. He is still serving the Air Force in the Reserve at Schriever Air Force Base. His travels and time have afforded him tremendous experiences and accomplishments including the Meritorious Service Medal with Four Oak Leaf Clusters and being accepted as a Fellow to the American Academy of Optometry. Despite his many geographic locations, he calls Colorado his home. Biking, running, skiing and playing with his Collie are amongst his past-times.

Dr. Daniel Beck

Dr. David Bailey

For me, being able to improve someone's vision while at the same time evaluating with their overall health was the key determinant in wanting to be an optometrist. Dr. Eric Baggs

Dr. Baggs works at the Harvard Avenue and Mingo Avenue locations in Tulsa. He obtained both his undergraduate biology and his doctorate in optometry degrees from Northeastern State University. He is a longtime member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Baggs tries to help each one of his patients by focusing on their specific needs and concerns while he is with them. In his free time, he enjoys watching old movies, reading the classics and playing the guitar.

My dedication to service led me to pursue a career as Army optometrist and later a transition into other areas of this ever-changing field of optometry. Dr. Judson Avila

The reason I became an optometrist is: It sounds simple, but the noticeable improvement in my personal vision when I got glasses as a kid really stuck with me. Another one of my best memories was getting fitted into contact lenses when I was 13 years old and being able to see clearly again without having to wear glasses to play football and baseball. I wanted to be able to give that same experience to kids and adults alike. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I love seeing the joy on patient's faces when they put their new prescription glasses on, or put their contacts in, and they can see the world again clearly. I also truly enjoy seeing patient's year after year and getting to know them and their families. In my spare time, I enjoy: Watching football, playing sports with my 2 kids, golfing, taking vacations to the mountains and hiking, and playing retro video games from the 1990's.

Dr. Kenneth Arndt

Dr. Arndt earned his degree in optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, a school known for its focus on state-of-the-art technologies. He was raised in Hampton and attended Old Dominion University where he studied civil engineering. He credits this training for his love of measuring and mapping the eye with precision when diagnosing and treating his patients. He is passionate about bringing advanced technologies and treatments to his practice. Dr. Arndt is an active supporter of Optometry Giving Sight and enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children.

Dr. Lacy Alvarez

Dr. Patrick Albert

The reason I became an optometrist is: As a child I walked home from school past the Virginia M Tutt library and every day I stopped in and spent an hour either reading or using an old wooden stereoscope. The library had a large collection of view cards of foreign countries and exotic animals. I was fascinated by the 3-D viewer and started reading everything I could find about the visual system and visual perception. That interest has remained with me my entire life. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Enabling them to have not only the clearest but the most comfortable vision with which they can pursue their work and leisure activities. As well as making sure their ocular and general health needs are being met. In my spare time, I enjoy: Drawing, painting, and reading.

Dr. Peter Benvenuto

Dr. Benvenuto graduated from Southern College Of Optometry in 1974. After graduation he was the director of the contact lens clinic for eight years. At that time, he joined a practice full time but stayed on at SCO and taught the advanced contact lens course as well as working in the ocular disease clinic until his retirement from active teaching in 1995. His practice specialties include pre- and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery management, ocular disease treatment and management, as well as all basic and specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses for keratoconus and other irregular corneas.
