Carolyn White

Carolyn is the first point of contact for many clients when they first approach DCH. She has worked in the Family Law industry in many administrative roles, including word processing, secretarial, IT and conveyancing. In between family commitments, she has worked with some of the partners at DCH Legal Group since 1989 and has been a full-time member of staff since 1997. Since then her responsibilities have grown and in addition to supervising and managing upgrades to our office IT, software and systems, she is also the office manager and prepares new clients for their first appointment with their lawyer. In 2008, she obtained a Diploma in Conveyancing. Carolyn was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2008.

Elizabeth Hynes

Elizabeth Hynes, director, will put together the right team of people to help you at every stage of your journey, which may include other lawyers or law clerks. You'll always receive the appropriate level of service without incurring unnecessary costs along the way. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1976 and was admitted to practice in 1980. She has worked exclusively in family law since 1989. Elizabeth is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and received a commendation for excellence in her Accreditation exams. She has served on the Council of the Family Law Practitioners' Association, edited the FLPA magazine and was a convener of the Law Reform sub committee. She is the founding president and current vice president of Collaborative Professionals Western Australia, and is a nationally accredited mediator. Elizabeth is also a member of the Family Law Practitioners' Association and the Law Society of Western Australia. Elizabeth acts in all areas of Family Law, with particular emphasis on, and experience in, high net worth and/or complex property settlements, both in litigation and out of court.

Joshua Hynes-Brown

Joshua graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University in 2021. Prior to starting at DCH Legal Group, he worked at Legal Aid Western Australia, as a paralegal in the Family Law Division. Joshua gained experience in complex parenting matters in this role, often involving allegations of abuse, parties with complex drug, alcohol, and mental health issues, and relocation. Joshua acts in all areas of Family Law, but has a particular interest in property settlement, including matters involving company and trust structures. Joshua works with Director Elizabeth Hynes on both straightforward and complex family law matters. Joshua was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in September 2022, and joined DCH upon his admission. Joshua is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, the Family Law Practitioners' Association, and sits on the CPD and social sub-committee.
