Dhansar Engineering Company Private Limited, fondly known as DECO, was established in 1955 by Late Basant Kumar Agarwalla. Following his footsteps, his son and grandson Late Ravi Agarwalla, Mr. Manoj Agarwalla and Mr. Harsh Agarwalla built the company into a leading mining & infrastructure company. Today, the growth of DECO is spearheaded by Mr. Harsh Agarwalla, Mr. Manoj Agarwalla's son, a dynamic young man with new ideas and vision built on the foundation of strong family values. Company's major breakthrough came in 1999, when it was awarded the contract for earth excavation & filling work for Tehri Dam Project where the Company excelled even in adverse working conditions and made everyone notice its capabilities. The company continued to execute earth-filling works at Rajarhat, near Kolkata, ECC Division of L&T at Shell Hazira Port Project etc.
