She knew from a young age that animal medicine would be her future. Amber attended Mt. Ida College where she obtained her B.S. in Veterinary Technology and earned her Certified Veterinary Technician Certificate. While in school, she stayed involved with animals outside of the classroom by showing horses. Amber has a great love for spending time with her family; she has two sons, Wyatt and Sawyer, and a husband, Derrick. In the summer, they enjoy lots of time with family and friends on their boat and four-wheeler. Amber is a wonderful asset to our clinic with her quirky sense of humor and popularity around town.

Ashley Houle

Job Titles:
  • Large Animal Technician
Ashley has been our head Road Technician since 2011. She graduated from Great Bay College in 2012 with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology and an interest for large animal emergency veterinary medicine. Ashley has a huge passion for animals. You can find her doing anything animal related from hatching chickens and ducks in her spare bedroom, spending time with her variety of farm animals, or hanging out with her two dogs, Cardi B, a Chorkie, and Benny, a Caucasian Ovcharka. Fun fact: her first and favorite animal was her black lop eared bunny named Lefey. Her small animal love takes a second place though to her love for horses and the equestrian sport that she has participated in since she was seven years old. She has a large involvement in the equestrian world, showing competitively with Morgan and Saddlebred horses all around New England. She owns a Morgan named Joey who is the light of her life (aside from her Godchild Stiorra, Dr. George and Jenni's daughter). When Ashley is not at work or riding, she is sewing beautiful custom riding apparel and selling it at local shows. Ashley is the most unique and driven person you will ever meet and we are more than lucky to benefit from her devotion every day.

Breanna Grace

Job Titles:
  • Large Animal Road Technician
Breanna, also known as Bre, has been one of our Large Animal Road Technicians since 2016. She studied at The University of New Hampshire where she received an associate's degree in Animal Science. Bre grew up in Barrington, New Hampshire on a small farm with her family where she helped raise sheep, goats, cows, and horses. She also spent time involved in 4-H and FFA. It is no surprise that she developed a strong passion for the large animal industry. Today Bre and her husband, Adam, enjoy spending time in their newly built home. They have two dogs that she brings along with her on hunting trips and two horses that they love riding together. Bre is not afraid to endure long cold days on the road helping our doctors and clients with their large animal patients. She also assists in the clinic with small animal appointments and surgery and even works at the front desk every week. Her dedication to the clinic is constantly appreciated and admired.

Dr. Brittany Worobey

Dr. Brittany Worobey was born and raised in Massachusetts with her two younger siblings. They were surrounded by all different kinds of animals from a young age. She was introduced to horses in grade school and worked and rode at various barns throughout the years in the New England area. Receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Vermont, Dr. Brittany developed an appreciation for the countryside and the hard work and dedication that go into producing locally grown food. It was here where she also developed a passion for dairy cows during a cooperative program called CREAM. On top of being a full time college student, she milked cows and made management decisions for the herd of Holsteins and Jerseys. In her free time, Dr. Brittany enjoyed hiking the green mountains of Vermont, snowboarding, and showing cows at the local county fair during the summer. After graduation, Dr. Brittany moved to Canada to pursue her preschool dream of becoming a veterinarian. She attended the Ontario Veterinary College, located in Guelph, Ontario. During her time there, she was an active member in both the equine and dairy club. She enriched her education in areas such as equine lameness, farrier work, and reproduction. After graduation, Dr. Brittany moved back to New England and joined the DVC family in June 2014. Dr. Brittany's life has changed dramatically since 2014. She is now married to her wonderfully supportive husband, Nick, and they welcomed their first child, Bryson, in 2020. When Dr. Brittany is not dedicating her time to the clinic, she is with family including her two dogs and three cats, enjoying life unplugged and outside breathing in the fresh air. She also enjoys training her two cats how to sit on command! If you have ever met Dr. Brittany then you know just how much she loves her job. She comes to work excited for the challenges a day might bring and leaves work happy to know she helped your loved one.

Dr. Kim Brothwell

Dr. Kim Brothwell grew up in Lee, New Hampshire and had a love for animals at a young age. She got her first Golden Retriever, Lady, for her 5th birthday. When her parents got her riding lessons, they thought it was just a childhood phase. But that turned into many years of showing both locally and regionally on quarter horse and paint circuits. Dr. Kim earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at the University of New Hampshire. While there, she juggled working as a barn manager for Boulder Brook Stables, being a technician assistant at Statham-Newfield's Veterinary Hospital, and working as a technician in the histology lab at the New Hampshire Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. Dr. Kim was accepted into veterinary school at the University of Missouri. In veterinary school, Dr. Kim took leadership roles in the Veterinary Business Management Association and the student chapter of the American Animal Hospital Association. She was also a leader in forming a new program at the school that allows students to spend time in South Africa learning and working with veterinarians on animal reserves. Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Kim did several externships at equine hospitals including hospitals in Kentucky, Texas, New Hampshire, and Maine. Following veterinary school, Dr. Kim completed an internship at New England Equine Medical and Surgical Center where she expanded her equine skills in the areas of lameness, surgery, ophthalmology, and medicine. Dr. Kim married Dan, her high school boyfriend, in 2012 after being together for 10 years. After joining the DVC family in the summer of 2013, Dr. Kim and her husband moved to Deerfield where they live with their daughter, Maggie, and dogs Gertrude (an English Bulldog co-owned by our CVT Veronica) and Marvin, a silly St. Bernard. In Dr. Kim's spare time, she is busy putting together client education talks and convincing DVC employees to run from Bretton Woods to Hampton Beach with her in Ragnar's Reach the Beach event. Somehow she also manages to spend quality time with her family in the great outdoors mountain biking, running, hiking, and many other activities. We love Dr. Kim and all the constant effort she gives to bring our team closer and our clients happier.

Dr. Robyn Eldredge

Dr. Robyn Eldredge grew up in Massachusetts with a love of horses. She mucked stalls to help pay for riding lessons. She continued with a passion for all things equestrian while she attended Mary Washington College in Virginia. While in school, Robyn had the great opportunity to study abroad in Spain and New Zealand. After traveling the world, she decided to settle down and attend veterinary school at Kansas State University. During vet school, she was the president of the student chapter of the Association of American Equine Practitioners and was also a member of the foal watch team. She also did numerous externships including one at Rood and Riddle in Kentucky. After graduating from Kansas State, Robyn headed to Idaho where she did a year internship at Idaho Equine Referral Hospital. Upon finishing her internship, Robyn decided to change to mixed animal practice as a way to broaden her horizons. She loves the variety that comes with mixed animals and gets excited about the challenges that arise when dealing with many different species. Robyn worked at Pembroke Animal Hospital in Pembroke, NH for four years where she learned a lot about small animal medicine and surgery. She also found a love for camelids (alpacas and llamas). While working at Pembroke, Robyn did some relief work at C.A.V.E.S. where she became more comfortable when dealing with small animal emergencies. But, the biggest changes came in her life when she married her husband, Brian, in 2007 and had her son, Shane, in 2008 and then her son, Wesley, in 2011. Looking for a change in atmosphere, Dr. Eldredge's journey landed here at Deerfield Veterinary Clinic in 2008. When Dr. Robyn has time to herself and with her family she is doing it all: from managing the Eldredge Family maple company known as "Mooncusser Maple Syrup", to being the driving force behind new playgrounds in her community, to coaching soccer, and more. We look forward to many more years with Dr. Robyn as a leader at DVC.

She began learning and riding at Different Drummer Farm and continued her passion for horses at multiple barns trying all disciplines of riding over the years. Her experience with small animals comes from growing up with a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and a Labrador Retriever in her home and then learning from her aunt who is a breeder of Golden Retrievers and a trainer at All Dogs Gym. When Emily is not working the front desk, she enjoys time with her 7-year-old Saddlebred named Sugar, who she shows in the open hunter divisions. She also dotes on her Shetland Sheepdog, Scout. Erin Marcotte

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Technician
Erin has been with DVC since 2010 as a Veterinary Technician. She grew up loving all animals, especially the Bull Terriers and Miniature Bull Terriers that she and her mother raise and show. During and after college, her love of animals grew while she worked at a small animal emergency clinic in Massachusetts for two years. After a long time as a nanny, Erin decided she liked animals more than two-legged children. She graduated from Great Bay Community College as a Veterinary Technician and has continued educating herself in canine physical therapy and rehabilitation. She has gone through extensive training with our therapeutic laser and all things related to canine rehab. Erin enjoys spending all her time with her Miniature bull terriers, Ronin and Vala, and husband, Vic. Erin is still in pursuit for a kind-souled person who would be willing to fund her lifelong dream of being a stay-at-home dog mom. In the meantime, Erin's bright, sparkling attitude and eagerness to learn has and will always be a huge asset to our clinic.

When she is not at the clinic, where she dedicates most of her time, she is playing with her beautiful golden retrievers and horses. She currently shows her horse, Reba, in AQHA shows around the country. If you want to catch her doing something non-animal related, you will be sure to find her enjoying a good Pats game or watching her boys, Martin Truex Jr. or Ryan Newman winning a NASCAR race. Heidi would never admit to being the glue that holds this place down, but we all know it's true.

Jenni George

Job Titles:
  • Hospital Administrator
Jenni was born and raised outside of Toledo, Ohio. She had no history with animals and always had plans to travel. Somehow, she ended up in Alamosa, Colorado where she met her future husband, Simon. She had no idea people owned goats and had no idea how to milk one. But soon, she was not only milking the goats, but delivering their babies, pulling their blood for testing, and administering medications. A whole new world was opened up to her and she loved it. After attending Adams State College for 3 years (and changing her major three times), she worked along with Simon at Countryside Veterinary Clinic and began to learn the ins and outs of veterinary medicine. She was a receptionist and part-time office manager for 2 years while living with Simon's family on the goat farm. Jenni followed Simon to Fort Collins and Colorado State University. She got a job at the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital as an emergency receptionist and a radiology assistant. She graduated with a degree in Public Relations. After moving to New Hampshire, Jenni also got a job at Waldeigh's Falls Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist where she worked until she had her daughter, Elayna. While Jenni loved staying at home and taking care of her beautiful child, she also missed her job. Again, Deerfield Veterinary Clinic was started. This way Jenni can spend time with her husband and Laynie, Lucien, and Stiorra can grow up at the clinic. She would like for Deerfield Veterinary Clinic to be a welcoming place where people and their pets feel comfortable and happy. After going back to school and years of working towards certification, Jenni passed the national exam in April of 2018 making her one of a few Certified Veterinary Practice Managers in New Hampshire. Jenni also enjoys helping others in the veterinary field. She enjoys speaking at various veterinary conferences and co-hosts The Veterinary Survival Show podcast with Mark McGuann, CPA. Jenni believes those in the veterinary industry can learn from each other and work together to make better working environments for team members while continuing to give the best customer service to clients and exceptional medical/surgical care to patients.

  • Member of the Front Desk Team
  • Office Manager
Ruthanne Durgin (Thann) is one of our beloved receptionists and is our inventory manager. Ruthanne has been supporting all aspects of the front desk since 2008. She grew up in Fremont and then moved to Deerfield in 1985. She started her career with animals in high school at Loch Ness Kennel located in Brentwood. Today you can find Thann working with the inventory, at the front desk, and managing the road doctors - sometimes all at the same time. When she goes home at night her life isn't any less busy. She gets to take care of and spend time with her loving husband, Bruce, her many beautiful draft horses, and all her children and grandchildren. If she gets some time to herself and you need to find her, she would probably be in her garden. If it is a Thursday morning though, you will definitely find her in the kitchen baking with her granddaughters. We love Ruthanne and all the she brings to the table. If you are ever at the local county fairs and enjoy quality horse pulling, be sure to stop over and wave at Thann. She will be there!

Simon George

Simon grew up in Colorado on a farm with goats, horses, cattle, pigs and many other animals. He was very involved in 4H which led to his love of animals and, in turn, veterinary medicine. The veterinarian for his 4H club, Dr. Jim Friedly, allowed Simon to tag along with him on road calls. Eventually, Simon started volunteering in that clinic and he soon became a veterinary assistant, helping with treatments and surgeries on all animals, big and small. Simon continued working at Countryside Veterinary Clinic while attending Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. After graduating from Adams State with a double major in Biology and Chemistry, he pursued his love of veterinary medicine and was accepted at Colorado State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. Simon continued to work through school, volunteering with 4H groups and working at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a surgery technician, large animal technician, and radiology technician. After graduating in 2003, he and his wife, Jenni, decided to move to New Hampshire and see a new part of the country. He started working at Wadleigh's Falls Veterinary Clinic under the tutelage of Dr. Irving Salkovitz. Simon learned much about medicine and surgery for both large and small animals. He found he truly enjoyed equine dentistry, small ruminant medicine, and small animal surgery as well as practicing medicine with caring guardians and their pets. After having their first child, Elayna, Simon and Jenni decided that they needed to change their life in order to spend more time with family. Deerfield Veterinary Clinic was begun. His goal will always be to practice high quality, affordable medicine in a caring, compassionate atmosphere. With the house attached, his family will always be around and he will always be available for his patients' needs. He hopes that you come by, meet his family, and take a tour of the clinic sometime.
