Alan McCoy joined DELTA in April 2015 as a PHP web applications developer supporting NC State University's Outreach and Engagement programs. He currently provides integration support between Moodle and various university registration and enrollment systems.
Alan earned his bachelor's degree from East Carolina University. Previously, he spent 10 years with NASA Langley on a research and development program to enable knowledge transfer from NASA's retiring veteran researchers. After briefly serving as Senior Web Developer with Hampton University, Alan spent four years as a chief web developer for a Virginia advertising agency.

April Tilly began her career with DELTA in 2009. As a Classroom Support Technician, April is responsible for training and assisting faculty in basic operations of classroom technologies. She works to troubleshoot problems and provide IT support for classroom equipment as well as providing classroom capture of lectures and quality control of end product.
April graduated from NC State with a degree in Mass Communications. Previously April worked at News 14 Carolina for six years as an Audio Operator/ Director.

Arlene designs and facilitates workshops to support faculty in utilizing best practices for online course design, as well as the effective use of educational technologies. As part of the Course Quality Program team, she helps faculty improve the quality of online and blended/hybrid courses. Arthur Earnest began his career with DELTA in 2008. In his current role, Arthur is the team leader of the production side of VCS. His responsibilities include working directly with instructors to make instructional videos outside of the classrooms. Outside of work he also enjoys making his own videos. He has made short films and documentaries that have been shown in local and national film festivals. He has spent time previously working at a newsstand, a movie theater, a printing shop and even as an English teacher in Japan. He graduated from NC State with a degree in sociology and a minor in film studies.

Benjamin ("Ben") Huckaby is a Lead Interaction Designer/Developer with Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) at NC State University. He works in the Academic Technology Innovation unit at DELTA. Ben started as a part-time staff on the New Media Development team in 2006, eventually joining the team as a full-time member in January of 2007.
A lifelong NC State fan he graduated from NC State with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design with a focus on animation and digital media, along with a Spanish minor. Ben's interest and passion lies in the use of games and game design principles (aka "Gamification") for education and he has been a part of several efforts at DELTA to this end. 3D modeling and animation is also a key interest, whether it is for a real-time rendering environment such as a game or a pre-rendered animation.
Outside of work Ben greatly enjoys road cycling, disc golf, DJing, and tailgating with friends and co-workers (which are really the same thing) at NC State football games.

Beth Monroe has been the Online and Distance Education Liaison Officer at DELTA for five years. She provides administrative support to the Online and Distance Education unit with duties such as budget management, gathering data for reports and meeting support. Prior to joining DELTA in 2011, Beth spent five years in Registration and Records at NC State as the University Scheduling Officer. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in sociology. Aside from work, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Bethanne Winzeler is the Assistant Director of Course Quality with Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) at NC State. She provides leadership for the Course Quality Program and instructional design for course production projects, instructional tools, and resources for DELTA Grants. Bethanne partners with other DELTA colleagues, faculty, and other members across the UNC System in researching, designing, developing, and evaluating innovative and pedagogically sound solutions to instructional challenges.

Bethany V. Smith joined DELTA in December of 2017. In her current role she is the Associate Director of Instructional Technology Training. As Associate Director, Bethany provides oversight of our training programs as well as delivers workshops on best practices for technology integration. Previously, she worked at the College of Education at NC State University, where she held various positions for over 13 years. Her passion is to assist current and future educators in integrating technology effectively in their classrooms, both online and face-to-face. Bethany also travels the state and country giving presentations and facilitating workshops on various educational technology topics.

Brandon Joyner is a Technology Support Technician where he supports professors in the recording of their in-person lectures so they can be viewed by online and distance education students. Prior to joining DELTA in December 2015, Brandon was a freelance cameraman for the NC State Athletics Department where his camerawork was featured on ESPN. Previously he also was a News Videographer and Broadcast Technician at WRAL.

Bryan Aldridge joined DELTA in February 2011 as a Unix Systems Administrator after having worked in a similar role for the State Climate Office of North Carolina. Initially, as a Systems Administrator, he was responsible for building and maintaining the Linux environment. Today, Bryan finds his core responsibilities include managing the enterprise servers, storage and networking that run DELTA's online learning environments. Bryan holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from NC State University, and has earned both RHCE and VCP certifications. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, guitars, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Caitlin McKeown has a broad background in education, the arts, and instructional design. Chris Willis, DELTA's Assistant Director, DELTA Research and Analysis, manages the evaluation and assessment of course redesign and educational technology projects, focusing on technology integration, pedagogy, and teaching best practices to support student success and engagement. He manages data collection, analysis, and reporting, and provides training, guidance, and support for the effective integration and use of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods for evaluating and assessing DE and blended course redesigns.
Chris graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Psychology. He has also earned Master's degrees in Survey Research, Education, and Public Administration, and is currently a Ph.D. student in NC State's Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development program. His doctoral research focuses on college students with anxiety and/or depression and their experiences, preferences, and perceptions related to online learning, educational technology, and help-seeking. In his spare time, he likes spending time with his husband and six cats (yes, six!), being creative, and working in his garden.

Jessie Sova began working for DELTA in 2014. She is the Assistant Vice Provost, Business Operations for DELTA and NC State Continuing and Lifelong Education (NCSCaLE). Jessie has spent 23 years in UNC System service as Assistant Dean for Finance for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Director of EPA at NC State Human Resources. She was also the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Resource Management at UNCW. While at DELTA, Jessie has been involved with the relocation of DELTA, developing the business services and charge model for REPORTER, the non-credit registration enterprise for NC State, and developed business services and internal controls for the Wolfpack Investor Network (WIN) and WIN, LLC.
In her current role as Assistant Vice Provost, she provides leadership and strategic oversight for fiscal operations, human resources, business and financial planning for both DELTA and NCSCaLE divisions and REPORTER Business Services.
Jessie Sova holds multiple degrees including a bachelor's degree in Business Management from University of South Carolina and a Master of Public Administration from NC State. She was awarded the Air Force Administrator of the Year, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal. Jessie is the mother of two. In her free time she enjoys riding motorcycles, reading and traveling.

Bob comes to NCSU with 17 years of broadcast television experience. He began as a master control operator at KREX-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado. After a couple of years Bob returned to the east coast to be closer to his family and to be nearer to the shores of the Atlantic. Bob has worked at WPTF which is now the local UPN affiliate WRDC-TV and at WNCN-TV the local NBC affiliate. Bob wore many hats over the years: master control operator, studio operations, recording engineer for news department, and has been technical director for morning newscasts. In 2000, Bob came to NCSU as a program coordinator for the Video Communications Services department.
