Blair Ffitch

Biography Blair is a Director of DSQ Pty Ltd, with significant experience in geodetic, cadastral, pipelines, engineering and infrastructure surveying. Blair graduated from University of Otago in 2003 having completed a Bachelor of Surveying. He was licensed as a Surveyor with New Zealand Institute of Surveyors in 2006, and gained accreditation as a Cadastral Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland in 2007. Blair has worked in private practice Surveying firms in Australia and New Zealand from 1991. He has been a business owner on the Sunshine Coast since 2016 and has overseen various complex energy infrastructure and pipeline projects throughout Queensland. Blair is DSQ's expert in pipeline route surveys, pipeline construction, data management, and quality compliance. Blair also has expertise in civil design, cadastral surveying, geodetic surveying, GIS and land development. Blair is the Director responsible for managing several large scale remote projects, and maintains a close involvement in pipeline and energy sector projects for DSQ.

Ian Seeto

Biography Ian is one of DSQ's Project Managers, with significant experience in geodetic, cadastral, engineering and hydrographic surveying. Ian graduated from QUT in 2001 having completed a Bachelor of Surveying with Honours. He gained accreditation as a Surveying Graduate with Surveyors Board of Queensland in 2001. Ian then completed a Master of Project Management at QUT in 2009. Ian has worked in Brisbane and the United Kingdom, before returning to the Sunshine Coast in 2009 to work in private practice Surveying firms. Ian has overseen various large scale projects in land development, high-rise building construction, civil construction, infrastructure and pipelines throughout Queensland. Ian is DSQ's expert in land development processes, including land subdivision, residential apartments, commercial and industrial development, mixed use and community title developments. Ian assists with the management and compliance of land development, to achieve survey plan sealing and registration. Ian is a Project Manager in our South East Queensland operations, and maintains a close involvement in land development, engineering and infrastructure projects for DSQ.

Keith Brown

Biography Keith is one of DSQ's Senior Surveyors, with significant experience in geodetic, cadastral, engineering surveying and photogrammetry. Keith completed his Surveying studies at Brisbane North Institute of TAFE in 2011. He gained accreditation as a Surveying Associate with Surveyors Board of Queensland in 2014. Keith also completed training with Civil Aviation Safety Authority Australia (CASA) in 2014. Keith has worked in private practice Surveying firms on the Sunshine Coast since 2007 and has worked on various large scale infrastructure projects in the energy sector and residential land developments. Keith is one of DSQ's trained Remote Pilots for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations, and has completed many hours of UAV surveying and mapping for DSQ's clients. Keith is DSQ's Senior Surveyor for pipelines, land development, construction set out, engineering surveys, detail surveys, data management, and quality compliance. He also assists with the development and training of our junior Surveyors.

Luke Scott

Biography Luke is one of DSQ's Senior Surveyors, with significant experience in geodetic, cadastral, engineering and hydrographic surveying. Luke graduated from University of Southern Queensland in 2000 having completed a Bachelor of Technology (Surveying). He also gained accreditation as a Surveying Graduate with Surveyors Board of Queensland in 2000. Luke has worked in private practice Surveying firms on the Sunshine Coast since 1996 and has completed various large scale residential land development projects and high-rise unit complexes in South East Queensland. Luke is DSQ's Senior Surveyor for land development, construction set out, engineering surveys, detail surveys, data management, and quality compliance. He also assists with the development and training of our Surveyors.

Neil Severns

Biography Neil is a Director of DSQ Pty Ltd, with significant experience in cadastral, geodetic, engineering and hydrographic surveying. Neil graduated from QUT in 1991 having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Surveying and a Graduate Diploma in Surveying Practice. He was registered with the Surveyors Board of Queensland in 1991 and gained registration as a Consulting Surveyor in 1993. Neil was a member of the former Institution of Surveyors Australia from 1991, and has been a member of the Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute since 2009 when it replaced the Institute as the peak professional body. Neil worked for several private practice Surveying firms in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Yeppoon until 1997, when he began consulting to pipeline construction companies. Over the last two decades, Neil has been a business owner on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and has overseen various large scale projects in the energy sector throughout Australia. He has also completed an array of infrastructure and residential land development projects in South East Queensland. In recent years, Neil has gained accreditation as an Engineering Surveying Professional - Australasia Pacific in 2012 and was registered with the Surveyors Board of Northern Territory in 2016. Neil is the Director responsible for DSQ's Environmental Management System, and maintains a close involvement in pipeline and energy sector projects for DSQ.

Peter Chaplin

Peter is DSQ's Drafting and GIS Manager, with significant experience in CAD drafting, cadastral surveying, GIS and information technology. Peter gained accreditation as a Surveying Associate with Surveyors Board of Queensland in 1998. He also completed a course in AutoCAD training at CSIT in 1999. Peter has worked in private practice Surveying firms on the Sunshine Coast since 1988 and has provided drafting and GIS support for a variety of large scale residential land development projects, high-rise unit complexes, pipeline, infrastructure and energy sector projects. Peter is DSQ's expert in drafting and GIS, and he manages our team of drafters and GIS operators. He also maintains a close involvement in DSQ's data management, information technology, compliance and quality control.

Peter Erskine

Biography Peter is DSQ's Financial Controller, with significant experience in accountancy and corporate management. Peter graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy. He subsequently obtained a Diploma in Corporate Management from the Institute of Corporate Managers, Secretaries and Administrators. Peter has broad business, financial and project management experience, with major strengths in establishing critical management practices as the basis for the success of the organisation. He has extensive business knowledge and commercial awareness gained over a wide range of sectors over his career. Peter has previously coached many small and medium sized businesses to set and achieve business and personal goals, maximise performance and capabilities of others. Peter is responsible for DSQ's finance, practice management, and assists with the management of DSQ's Integrated Management System for Quality, Safety and the Environment.

Biography Tony is a Director of DSQ Pty Ltd, with significant experience in cadastral surveying, engineering surveying and project management of major land developments Tony graduated from QUT in 1994 having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Surveying. He was registered as a Cadastral Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland in 2009. Tony also achieved registration as a Licensed Surveyor with the Northern Territory Surveyors Board in 2010. Tony has over twenty-five years of private practice surveying experience, having worked in firms in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. During this time he has overseen various large scale projects in land development and high-rise building construction throughout Queensland. Tony has been a business owner on the Sunshine Coast since 2016. Tony is DSQ's expert in complex land titling matters, including land subdivision, residential apartments, commercial and industrial development, mixed use and community title developments. Tony also assists with the management and compliance of land development to achieve survey plan sealing and title registration. Tony is the Director responsible for our South East Queensland operations and maintains a close involvement in land development, engineering and infrastructure projects for DSQ.

Biography Tyler is a Director of DSQ Pty Ltd, with significant experience in cadastral surveying, engineering surveying and photogrammetry. Tyler graduated from QUT in 2002 having completed a Bachelor of Surveying. He was registered as a Cadastral Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland in 2008, Licensed Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of the Northern Territory in 2017 and a Land Surveyor with the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (NSW) in 2020. Tyler accreditation with Civil Aviation Safety Authority Australia (CASA) in 2014. Tyler worked on the Goro Nickel Project in New Caledonia in 2002, before returning to the Sunshine Coast and working in private practice Surveying firms. Tyler has been a business owner on the Sunshine Coast and Mackay since 2011 and has overseen various large scale projects in land development, high-rise building construction and pipelines throughout Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales. Tyler is DSQ's Chief Remote Pilot for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations, having completed many hours of UAV surveying and mapping for DSQ's clients. Tyler maintains DSQ's compliance with CASA regulations. Tyler is the Director responsible for DSQ's Work Health and Safety Management System, and maintains a close involvement in cadastral, UAV mapping, engineering and pipeline projects for DSQ.
