Jim Espaillat has been a computer hobbyist and programmer since the age of fourteen. As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he studied neurophysiology before turning his attention to the study of "digital brains", and has been working professionally in the field ever since. In his spare time, he enjoys model railroading, performing in community theatre, and is a former member of the locally acclaimed a cappella group, Special Delivery.
