Anders Carlson

Job Titles:
  • Structural Engineer
Anders Carlson is a licensed structural engineer with over 20 years of experience in design of steel, concrete, composite, and light framed wood structures. His work has encompassed a broad range of project types including civic, educational, healthcare, office, retail, government, and residential. Project sizes have ranged from sculptures to highrises. He has worked on notable projects such as Koolhaas' Seattle Public Library, Libeskind's Hamilton Building of the Denver Art Museum, the investigation of the collapse of WTC-7 and the first buckling restrained braced frame building in the United States. Anders has a PhD in Civil Engineering from Caltech researching damage to tall steel moment frame buildings due to the Northridge Earthquake and is also an Assistant Professor in the USC School of Architecture. He is engaged with multi-disciplinary work exploring: seismic sustainability, structural optimization in parametric design, and prefabricated construction that address performance of buildings, design of buildings and construction of buildings, respectively. In each of these research areas, his approach is to use innovative analytical tools and methodologies to improve decision making and performance of built systems.

Ben Bernard

Mr. Bernard is a VFX artist, VR Filmmaker and Web Developer with extensive experience in all aspects of production and post-production. Having worked on commercials, documentaries, music videos and effects-heavy hollywood films, he is passionate about creating effects-driven movies driven by strong storylines with immaculate attention to every single detail.

CJ Vanston

Job Titles:

CJ Vanston has done more than 500 recording sessions; toured with Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, and Tears For Fears; served as a writing/production partner for Steve Lukather; scored most of Christopher Guest's movies; produced the new Toto record; and has held down what is possibly the most dangerous keyboard chair in rock 'n' roll for the past 20 years: playing with Spinal Tap. Long admired within the business, Vanston's experience and knowledge of Music and the music industry is essential to DHDI's creative team whether it be choosing musicians for ZR Live! or designing creative audio tools for studio musicians and performers. A joy to work with, and always the life of the party with his fun loving nature and excellent humor, CJ is also an animal rights advocate, having personally adopted dozens of rescue dogs.

Hanson Hsu

Kristin Armfield

Kristin then Co-Directed and Produced the award-winning, critically acclaimed feature documentary Barbershop Punk with Georgia Archer. Starring Janeane Garofalo, Henry Rollins and Ian McKaye, the film garnered a number of accolades including a coveted New York Times Critics' Pick. Distributed by Gravitas Ventures, the little doc that could is now available on Hulu, iTunes, and Netflix. Kristin soon was leading an award-winning mograph and broadcast design team, creating an array of graphic packages for the Disney Channel family of networks as well as Main Titles for the ABC Family/Freeform series' The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Beverly Hills Nannies and the long running Baby Daddy. Evil Twin also had the honor of creating titles for indie films Hacia La Oscuridad and Barbershop Punk. Kristin then secured the video production and editorial for Microsoft's "Gig Of A Lifetime" spots, airing nationally on the Grammy Awards as part of the Microsoft ‘Surfacing New Talent' campaign. Next up, Kristin and her team wrote, directed and produced a trio of PSAs for ABC's "Be Inspired" Campaign featuring a myriad of the network's biggest stars.

Laurence St. Ives

Mr. St. Ives is a designer, inventor and developer of high tech, sustainable and energy efficient lighting instruments. Striving to enhance architecture as illuminated structure and enhance the emotional visual experience and quality of visibility. He strives to turn his interest in emerging technologies and trends in to useful designs or interesting adjuncts to his chosen field of lighting. Merging new technology with architectural momentum and anthropomorphic limitations. He believes that lighting has to be useful, interesting and artistic. It is an ever expanding field of knowledge fueled by our need to "see" everything and it influences our being; emotionally and physically from waking to sleep. St. Ives' first successful designs introduced indirect glare-free lighting for commercial interiors in to the British Isles, Europe and then the USA. His goal was to improve the quality of visibility for computer users while cutting energy use by half. His curiosity and imagination are continuing his development of better lighting; embracing the latest LED technology and finding ways to introduce those ideas into our everyday life. His designs and ideas have spawned three successful companies in the USA, which he controls and runs, with the help of his talented and dedicated colleagues.

Marcela Botero

Job Titles:
  • Interior Designer
Specializing in interior design and construction management for both residential and commercial architecture, Ms. Botero is an accomplished artist, having earned her degree in industrial design from Colombia's Autonoma University. Marcela began painting in her early twenties utilizing a confluence of varied materials, textures and patterns in a contemporary expressionistic style. Her mix of oil and acrylic paintings are on display in Paris, Los Angeles, Bogota, Colombia and Miami's South Beach. Marcela's unique skill set brought her to Los Angeles where she has focused her various talents on interiors, art, architecture and design, bringing a fluid elegance to all of her work with Delta H Design.

Steve Andrews

Steve Andrews has designed and been involved in the development of over one million square feet of residential and commercial space throughout California, ranging from single family houses to multi-residential, mixed use, high rise, and hospitality projects. His professional development at architecture firms such as Van Tilburg & Partners, McLarend+Vasquez Architects, and Arquitectonica LA led to the formation of his own firm in 2001 as Andrews + Chapman Inc. As principal, the firm grew to over $3 million in billable revenue with a wide range of clientele and project types. With an increasing log of clientele including developers, brokers, and investors, Steve Andrews has a comprehensive knowledge of design and investment analysis. Steve Andrews performs initial concept analysis, concept design, and a full range of architectural services focused on implementing new and innovative ways to deliver space efficient and superior quality market driven residential and commercial design which demand higher than market rate returns on investment. Steve Andrews is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and has been a licensed Architect in the state of California since 2001.

Tim McGovern

As one of George Lucas' team to originally create Skywalker Sound from patch of dirt in the hills of Marin County, Mr. McGovern had the pleasure to update and rebuild Lucas' with the latest technologies many times, evolving it into the quintessential audio Post Production Facility for film. His experience with all things film led him to work with wide variety of filmmakers, content creators and integrators on a diverse set of projects ranging from 4K theatres to high definition internet production. An expert in technical design and systems integration, McGovern brings a unique skill set with well rounded experience to DHDI's creative team.
