CATHERINE TAMBASCO

A partner in the firm, Catherine Tambasco specializes in family law, having represented hundreds of clients in Monmouth and Ocean Counties since she began practicing in 1987. Catherine relocated from Upstate New York to New Jersey for her studies, earning her bachelor's degree in psychology and social work at Georgian Court College. After receiving her degree, Catherine worked as a social worker for the Division of Youth and Family Services, changing the lives of many families and children throughout her nearly seven year tenure. In 1987 Catherine earned her law degree from Seton Hall University, and took her first position as a Law Clerk in the Ocean County Superior Court, Family Law Division for the Honorable Robert A. Fall, J.S.C. Shortly thereafter, she became a partner in the firm now known as DeNoia Tambasco & Germann. Catherine is now a member of the Ocean County Family Law committee and is an early settlement panelist for the Ocean County Superior Court. G. John Germann was born in Newark, NJ and raised in South Orange, NJ. He attended Seton Hall University, graduating cum laude in 1992. Mr. Germann continued on to Seton Hall University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 1995. Following law school, Mr. Germann obtained of unique rotating judicial clerkship with the Ocean County Superior Court wherein he clerked for three different Judges, specifically the Honorable Vincent Grasso, J.S.C. in the Criminal Part, the Honorable Bernard Cannon, J.S.C. in the Civil Part, and the Honorable James Citta, J.S.C. in the Family Part. This clerkship provided invaluable experience and insight in those three separate Divisions, expanding Mr. Germann's knowledge beyond the sphere of his principal practice area. Following the completion of the judicial clerkship, Mr. Germann joined the firm of DeNoia & Tambasco, LLC in 1996. Mr. Germann has practiced with the firm continually since that time, becoming a partner of the firm now known as DeNoia Tambasco & Germann. Mr. Germann concentrates his practice on family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, custody, parenting time, support, equitable distribution and domestic violence. Mr. Germann has also had experience in civil litigation matters and continues to handle worker's compensation matters and Municipal Court representations. Mr. Germann is also responsible for all of the domestic violence litigation in the office, and has handled hundreds of domestic violence actions from inception to conclusion. Mr. Germann's experience gained in other practice areas has provided him with a unique skill set, providing an advantage in connection with family law matters, including an extensive knowledge of the Rules of Evidence and knowledge concerning various aspects of commercial law and disability which are often directly implicated in divorce actions. Mr. Germann has over 24 years of experience and is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the Federal District Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Germann is a certified mediator. He has volunteered his time to serve as an Early Settlement Panelist for the Ocean County Superior Court, assisting others to settle their divorce litigation through the Court sponsored Early Settlement Program. Mr. Germann is an active member of the Ocean County Bar Association. He is a member of the Ocean County Bar Association Family Law Committee, and has chaired the Subcommittee for the Ocean County Early Settlement Program. Mr. Germann is also an active member of the Ocean Monmouth Family Inns of Court. JAMES N. CITTA

The Honorable James N. Citta has practiced since his graduation from Vermont Law School in 1977. After law school, Judge Citta went into private practice, specializing in municipal law, land use, real estate, and business law. In 1992, Judge Citta ascended to the bench after receiving an appointment from Governor James Florio. During his 19-year career, Judge Citta served in each division of the New Jersey Superior Court, presiding over family, criminal, and civil matters. He also served as an adjunct professor at Ocean County College, and served on the Criminal Practice Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court during his tenure as a judge.

Thomas DeNoia

Tomaso R. DeNoia, son of Catherine Tambasco and Thomas DeNoia, joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2018. Born and raised in Toms River, Tomaso earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Business at The College of New Jersey before beginning his law school career at Villanova University. While at Villanova, Tomaso established himself as an exemplary student and leader, graduating cum laude while heading the school's Moot Court Board and working as a teacher's assistant. After earning his law degree in 2016, Tomaso clerked for the Honorable Francis R. Hodgson in the Ocean County Chancery - General Equity division, assisting the judge in deciding myriad contract and land disputes. Tomaso also gained experience at an insurance defense firm in Philadelphia, where he assisted in a wide variety of casualty matters, including premises liability, commercial transportation, construction defects, and construction accidents. A lifetime New Jersey native, Thomas DeNoia is the firm's cornerstone and founding member. Staying true to his roots, Thomas attended Seton Hall University where he received his Bachelor's in history, and later earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law. After a one year clerkship in the New Jersey Superior Court, Chancery Division, Thomas began his illustrious career as a practitioner in the office of the New Jersey Attorney General, where he represented the New Jersey Housing Finance Agency handling real estate and reviewing bond issues while also representing the Agency in Construction litigation. Thereafter, Thomas honed his legal skills at one of the largest and most prestigious defense firms in the state handling the defense of design professionals, medical malpractice actions, and construction claims.
