Adrian Glass-Moore

Job Titles:

Adrian Glass-Moore is a legal assistant working on employment-based immigration matters. He also has experience with family-based petitions, asylum, cancellation of removal and other immigration processes. He graduated from the University of California at Davis with a major in International Relations and speaks fluent English and French.

Brenda Perez

Job Titles:
  • Immigrant Visa Program Manager
Brenda has extensive experience managing family and employment-based immigrant visa cases. For over a decade she has developed and managed process improvement strategies primarily focused on family-based immigration matters, including those impacted by the 2017 Travel Ban under Presidential Proclamation 9645 (with approvals of all Travel Ban waivers she has handled). Additionally, she handles fiancé, J-1 waiver, diversity visa, employment based consular process, DACA, and hardship waiver cases. Based on her knowledge related to travel ban and other immigrant visa matters, she has presented at professional conferences sponsored by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and other legal organizations, while also providing guidance to local practitioners on immigrant visas and waivers. Brenda obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Justice and Peace Studies, with a minor in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and is a native Spanish speaker.

Cody Olson

Job Titles:

Cody earned his B.A. in Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with certificates in Advanced Level Proficiency in Spanish and Interpreting in Legal Settings. He works primarily on agricultural non-immigrant visas, including TN visas, as well as naturalization and family-based adjustment of status applications. Cody is fluent in Spanish.

Gerardo Figueroa

Job Titles:

Gerardo is a Case Manager primarily working on corporate immigration cases, including H-1B petitions, immigrant petitions, and adjustment of status applications. He earned his B.S. and MBA degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology. Prior to working at our firm, Gerardo worked in the airline industry where he focused on customer service for international clients. He is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association and has volunteered with the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. Gerardo has lived in Colombia and Puerto Rico and is a native Spanish speaker.

Greta Beck

Job Titles:

Greta focuses primarily on employment-based immigration cases, including multinational executive/manager petitions, other L-1 Intracompany Transferee visas, and related cases. She is a 2023 graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she studied Business and Communications. Greta speaks Spanish and Arabic, having traveled to Amman, Jordan for linguistic and cultural immersion. During her free time, she loves to travel, read, and spend time outside.

Jeffrey Heidkamp

Job Titles:

Jeffrey Heidkamp received Bachelor's degrees in History and Education from the University of Illinois in 1999 and his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2023.

Jeremy Davis

Jeremy Davis works on a wide variety of immigration law cases including removal defense, asylum, family and employment-based petitions, and naturalization applications. Jeremy Davis received his Bachelor's degree in 2016 from Indiana University - Bloomington (with majors in Political Science and Spanish) and his J.D. in 2020 from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he participated in the St. Thomas Legal Clinic's Immigration Practice Group, including asylum cases and bond hearings for detained clients in removal proceedings. He also served as a student attorney with the First District Public Defender's Office, where he represented clients in misdemeanor criminal cases at the Scott County district court. Jeremy is fluent in Spanish.

Kelsey Allen

Kelsey Allen heads our Immigration Court practice group, representing individuals and families in removal/deportation proceedings before the U.S. Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts, as well as asylum, naturalization, family-based, and humanitarian cases including VAWA and U visa applications for crime victims. Kelsey earned her J.D. in 2017 from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and her B.A. in 2013 from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, interned with the Department of Homeland Security's Office of the Chief Counsel, and is fluent in Spanish.

Lucia Abrego Vazquez

Job Titles:

Lucia is the firm's primary Receptionist, which is a critical role as she receives all incoming calls on a multi-line system and provides additional support to attorneys. Additionally, she screens initial client intakes, coordinates with attorneys to schedule consultations, and prepares client communications. She is a native Spanish speaker, using her language to explore her culture and communicate with her family; and is grateful she was raised in a bilingual household. Her passions include caring for and learning more about farm animals and one day hopes to become a veterinarian. Lucia hopes to travel the world one day to continue exposing herself to new adventures and exploring nature.

Maisie Pekarek

Maria joined our team in 2019 as Officer Manager, where she oversees the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of our firm and serves as a liaison with the firm's office services, human resources, and information systems. Maria's diverse responsibilities include overseeing the firm's human resources, benefits, payroll, bookkeeping, insurance, and liability policy renewal options.

Michael H. Davis

With more than 30 years of experience practicing immigration law, he is recognized as one of Minnesota's top immigration lawyers and speaks fluent Spanish and Hebrew. Michael earned his J.D. and bachelor's degrees from the University of Minnesota, and also attended Columbia University in New York and the University of Seville in Spain. With more than 30 years of experience practicing immigration law, he is widely recognized as one of Minnesota's top immigration lawyers and speaks fluent Spanish and Hebrew. Michael handles individual, family, and employment/investment-based cases, with a particular focus representing clients in complex visa matters with at U.S. consulates worldwide, representing international musicians and other artists in connection with their U.S. work visa needs, and representing agricultural employers in connection with TN visas, I-9 audits, and related immigration matters. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), having served as the Minnesota/Dakota Chapter Chair and Chair of the DHS International Operations Liaison Committee. He has served as chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Immigration Law Section. Michael speaks and writes nationally on a variety of immigration topics.

Mirna Deutsch

Rachel Davis Scherf

Rachel manages our firm's Employment-Based Permanent Residence Department and handles a wide variety of immigration cases including employment-based and extraordinary ability petitions, agricultural visas, removal defense and litigation, asylum, and other matters.

Rene Fitzgerald

Job Titles:

Rene manages the employment-based permanent residence process from the I-140 immigrant petition. He also has experience on TN visas, family-based adjustment of status, asylum and citizenship applications. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Law from Universidad La Salle Noroeste in Mexico. Rene also attended a summer school program in International Criminal Law at Universiteit Leiden in The Hague, The Netherlands. He is an experienced professional translator and interpreter and has been accepted into both the Healthcare and Court Interpreter Rosters of the State of Minnesota. Rene was raised as a bicultural person, and an immigrant himself, he speaks Spanish and English fluently, as well as some French.

Robby Miller

Robby Miller joined the Davis and Goldfarb team as a Legal Assistant in 2021. Robby specializes and assists with O visa cases, in addition to some National Interest Waiver/Extraordinary Ability visa cases. Furthermore, he assists in final form preparation and filings for clients. He is a 2018 graduate from Hamline University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. While in college, Robby studied abroad at the Cologne Business School in Cologne, Germany where he took classes focusing on European Union Laws and Politics, in addition to taking courses on the German language. He is currently working on improving his language skills in both Spanish and German. When not on the job, Robby is an avid theatre enthusiast, having performed throughout the Twin Cities.

Rosa Gaona

Rosa is the firm's Senior Case Manager, with primary responsibility for complex waiver applications based on fraud, criminal conduct, unlawful presence, and related U.S. immigration violations. She has worked with our firm for 20 years after beginning her career with large Twin Cities law offices including Dorsey & Whitney, Leonard, Street & Deinard, and Lindquist & Vennum. Rosa holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Minnesota, speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and is also an accomplished professional singer.

Sarah DuPaul

Sarah DuPaul focuses primarily on employment-based immigration cases. She graduated from Hamline University with majors in Spanish and Latin American Studies, and completed her senior thesis on gender roles in Ciudad Guyana, Venezuela. Prior to joining Davis and Goldfarb, Sarah spent 6 years working with diverse immigrant populations in New York City. In her free time, she enjoys playing roller derby and hiking with her dog.

Sophia Vazquez

Sophia is a fluent native Spanish speaker. Using her bilingual skills in past administrative positions, she prides herself in her cultural awareness. Sophia started as the firms' primary receptionist in June 2022 and is now a Legal Assistant specializing in various family and employment-based cases, including naturalization and adjustment of status. Furthermore, she assists in final form preparation and filings for clients. Sophia enjoys long nature walks and trying new foods in her spare time. She's an active member in the community and likes to explore the twin cities for new adventures.

Stephanie Davis

Stephanie Davis received her Bachelor's degree in 2017 from the University of St. Thomas, majoring in Legal Studies in Business, and her J.D. in 2020 from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
