DFDW

Delhi Foundation of Deaf Women (DFDW) was started as a club for deaf women, but observing the needs of deaf women it slowly started activities for their benefits and rehabilitation. Established in 1973, today DFDW is a Rehabilitation Center for all Deaf in India... The vision of creating a new creative world for deaf women brought four women, three deaf - Smt. Mukti Uppal, Ms. Renee Kuriyan, Smt. Mahalakshmi Tikku along with Smt. Shashi Pal, together. They started a voluntary social organization with the aim of "Help them (deaf women) to help themselves" on January 25, 1973.
