Andy Sheils

Andy's focus at Digitech involves leading the Client Relations team for EMS billing clients in the Eastern United States. He brings a wealth of experience in municipal finance and operations from his previous position with the City of Chicago, where he served as First Deputy Comptroller for more than ten years. Andy earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Illinois - Chicago.

Ben Lambert - CIO

Job Titles:

In addition to overseeing development and IT teams, Ben focuses on process analysis, automation, and innovation. Ben joined Digitech in 2003 as a software engineer. Since then, Ben has served as a leader and driving force in rewriting the Ambulance Commander software suite, the conception and design of advanced billing technologies, and the migration to a virtualized infrastructure. Ben has a passion for problem-solving and agile development. Ben holds an Executive MBA from Pace University, where he graduated with top academic honors.

Brad Stuart

Brad Stuart has been an integral part of Digitech's technical team since he joined the company in 2002. Brad and his department lead the successful development and maintenance of Digitech's medical billing and remittance posting solutions. He works closely with the billing management and operations team to increase billing efficiency through technology. Brad holds a degree in Computer Science from the College of Westchester and continually gathers knowledge on new technologies that support Digitech's advanced approach to billing systems implementation. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and manages a recreational softball team.

Catherine Tenzyk

Job Titles:

Cathy joined the Digitech team in 2002. She brought to the table experience working for Abbey Richmond Ambulance Service, a family-owned and operated ambulance company based in White Plains, NY. Her responsibilities there included dispatching, Medicare billing, and insurance and patient collections. Early in her tenure at Digitech, Cathy was promoted to Medicare Manager. She then helped create and lead the Quality Assurance department, which was established to ensure compliant Medicare and Medicaid billing practices. Further changes in the compliance world led to her current role as Vice President of Billing Services, in which she oversees internal and external audits. Cathy has earned CMS, CPR, and CAC certifications and attends webinars and seminars regularly to keep up to date with the latest developments in ambulance billing regulations. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cooking, and music.

Darryl Hartung

As the leader of the Client Relations team for the Southeast region, Darryl brings over two decades of direct experience in client services, EMS revenue cycle management, and working with municipal fire rescue and financial/procurement services. Prior to joining Digitech, Darryl held management roles in the mortgage industry and earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Florida Atlantic University. Outside of work, Darryl enjoys playing golf and tennis and is also an assistant coach for a Davie, FL high school varsity softball program.

Fran Cuzzo

Fran joined Digitech in 2000, and she has over three decades of experience in the ambulance billing industry. Prior to joining the company, she worked at AA Ambulance/TransCare of New York as A/R Supervisor, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day billing and follow-up. Fran started her career at Empress Ambulance in Yonkers, NY, where she started as a dispatcher and call taker and was soon promoted to the billing department. There, she began to develop her deep knowledge of the rules and regulations governing reimbursement for ambulance transports. Fran's responsibilities at Digitech include overseeing all aspects of patient collections and playing an integral role on the implementation team for new client set up.

Jason Larkin

Jason has been with Digitech since 2012 and serves as the Vice President of Client Relations for the Southwest region. He brings with him over 16 years of experience in healthcare, previously working as a sales representative for Shire Pharmaceuticals. Jason earned his BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas and attended Airframes and Powerplants school with the U.S. Navy in Millington, Tennessee. As a dad of two, his spare time is limited, but he enjoys computers, reading nonfiction, and camping, hunting, and fishing with his kids.

Jon Burkhart

  • Executive Director of Software Engineering
As Executive Director of Software Engineering, Jon leads software development teams for multiple technical solutions at Digitech. His journey to Digitech began in 2000 at the startup Med-Media, which specialized in public safety software with a focus on ePCR and pre-hospital data collection. Jon's career has taken him through four acquisitions and one divestiture since then, with positions at EMSystems, Intermedix, and R1. Along the way he has served as everything from a web engineer and desktop engineer to the leader of developers, testers, BA, and QA team members. Through each transition, he has focused on efficient migration of products and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Jon has a Bachelor's of Science from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and he has completed numerous Agile and Scaled Agile workshops. He enjoys spending his free time in the great outdoors and riding ATVs.

Joyce Kerulo

Joyce joined Digitech in 1994 and is responsible for overseeing the processing of over $1 billion in ambulance claims annually. Her staff includes eight managers and 80 billing specialists. Prior to joining Digitech, Joyce was the Assistant Controller of MediCab, one of the largest providers of medical transportation in New York State. Joyce holds a BS in Accounting from Manhattan College in NY.

Mark Schiowitz - CEO, President

Mark began his career as a systems analyst on Wall Street. In 1984, he left that world to start Digitech, building custom financial applications. In 1987, Digitech released the company's signature software solution: Ambulance Commander. Mark's father ran two ambulance companies, so his life-long interest in the medical transportation industry grew from a solid base of experience. Mark has a degree in economics from Bucknell University and did graduate study in accounting and computer science at Baruch College.

Maxine D'Agostino

Maxine joined the Digitech team in 2012, starting as a Billing Representative and holding positions as Medicare Manager and Medicare & QA Manager. In her current role as Vice President of Billing Services, she oversees the Medicare and QA departments, with a sharp focus on Digitech's adherence to Medicare's rules, regulations, and compliance standards. Maxine's educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Health Science from SUNY Cortland. Outside of Digitech, you can find her swimming, spending time with her family, and watching The Office.

Michael Brook

Michael is a client services leader at Digitech, bringing 25 years of experience across enterprise organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kaiser Permanente, Del Monte Foods, and Sprint Corporations. He earned his BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis and his MS from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In addition to his responsibilities of overseeing client support and advocacy, he also brings industry expertise and broad perspectives to strategic discussions. Michael joined Digitech in 2008 and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is an exercise enthusiast and enjoys sports with his family.

Mitchel Holder

With over 30 years of experience in the field and deep expertise at creating reports for budget analysis, Mitchel has dedicated his career to the advancement of Fire and EMS. He began as a Paramedic/Firefighter and worked his way through the ranks in the Fire Service, eventually serving as Logistics Chief in the Business Services Division of Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services, one of the largest fire departments in the Metro Atlanta area. Mitchel works with clients on reporting and data analytics, helping to create custom reports and to address any other needs that may arise.

Walt Pickett - COO

Walt is responsible for implementation and support. He joined Digitech in 1994 and has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He works closely with clients to ensure that any system customizations, including custom reporting requirements, are implemented before the go-live date.
