DixiePins.com is the product of a small company founded in 1956 by Henry and Emma Strippelhoff. The company, known as Dixie Industrial Supply, Inc., was originally a division of Carbide Products, Inc., founded in 1943. Dixie originally operated out of a third floor office in downtown Georgetown, KY at the Carbide Products, Inc. factory. Mr. Carl H. Strippelhoff (Skip), son of the founders, was attending Georgetown College at the time. In his spare time and between classes he answered the telephones and handled customer service and inside sales... Dixie expanded in the years that followed, attracting top industrial product lines and loyal customers. With this expansion and with Skip at the helm, Dixie added an inside and outside sales force and moved to Lexington, KY. Ever expanding, Dixie built its first dedicated facility in 1969, a 10,000 plus square foot facility in a prime Lexington industrial park...
