As a Tax Partner, A.J. works with clients providing personal, corporate, and estate taxation advice specializing in owner-managed businesses. His experience includes purchase and sale planning, corporate reorganizations, business succession, and estate freezes, estate and will planning, compensation strategies for owner-managed businesses, and cross-border tax planning for business owners. A.J. graduated from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2004 and qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2006. Since, he has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course in 2009, the Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business course in 2011, and the Corporate Reorganizations course in 2015. A.J. joined DJB in November of 2013, having previously worked at one of the Big Four public accounting firms.

Alexis MacCallum

Alexis joined DJB's Hamilton office in the fall of 2020 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Manager in January 2022. She provides assurance, accounting, and advisory services to private companies in a number of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, and not for profit. Prior to DJB, Alexis worked at a big-four firm providing assurance services to both public and private companies. In all of her professional roles to date, she has focused on building and maintaining client relationships, and on the coaching and development of team members. Alexis holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration Honours with Accounting and Co-operative Options with Distinction and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University (2017). She received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2020. Alexis is proud to support the local community through attendance and participation at various events and fundraisers throughout the region. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and keeping active outdoors, exploring many of the local hiking trails.

As part of her service to the community, Alisha serves as Treasurer and volunteers in various other capacities at Grace Gospel Church in Niagara Falls. She has previously served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Education Foundation of Niagara, and as Chair of the Audit Committee and volunteer for Redeemer Bible Church. Alisha spends her free time with her husband and 3 daughters, often biking or hiking the many trails in the Niagara Region. Amanda Pyper

Amanda is currently the Partner-in-Charge of the Hamilton office. Her areas of expertise include assurance and accounting services and consulting to owner-managed and family operated businesses. Amanda also has extensive experience with not-for-profit enterprises, including knowledge of reporting issues and disclosures particular to large and small organizations. In addition to the not-for-profit sector, she also has industry experience with manufacturing, greenhouses and greenhouse related industries, wholesalers, and transportation. Amanda joined the former Grimsby office in 1988 after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree, obtained her CPA designation in 1991 with the Firm, and was admitted to partnership in 1999. Amanda has served on the Firm's Technical and Human Resources Committees. Amanda is currently treasurer of The Grimsby Life Centre and also serves as a member of The Grimsby Community Fund and the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament Committee. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Grimsby and District Chamber of Commerce for a number of years, including terms as Treasurer and President. As a Tax Partner located in the Firm's Hamilton office, Andrew works exclusively in the area of tax planning for Canadian private companies and their shareholders. He is experienced in dealing with entrepreneurs in all stages of their professional and personal lives. Andrew prides himself on his ownership and accessibility of his clients, ensuring he gives accurate, creative, and timely tax advice. He has a wide range of experience with owner-managed businesses in a variety of industries, including construction & real estate, manufacturing, services, entertainment, and consumer industrial products. Andrew also has experience assisting very large corporate clients with tax compliance and tax planning opportunities. In addition, Andrew has provided tax planning services with the structuring of business sale and acquisition transactions and implementing estate and succession plans for owner-managers. Andrew qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2003, after graduating from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2000. Andrew joined DJB in 2012, having previously held the position of Senior Tax Manager at a national public accounting firm, where he had worked since 2000. Andrew has completed numerous courses, including the CICA In-Depth Tax course in 2006, the CICA Corporate Reorganizations course in 2009, and the CICA Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business course in 2011. In 2017, Andrew was a recipient of the Business Link "40 Under Forty" business achievement award. Andrew obtained an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University in 2005 and became a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2006. He began his career as a co-op student in DJB's Grimsby office in 2001 and was admitted to partnership in 2015. In the community, Andrew is a past and current coach for his son's hockey & baseball teams. He is a Rotarian who has previously served as the Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Hamilton and has served as Treasurer of the Grimsby and District Chamber of Commerce. Angela Ironberg

Anne Louise Graham

Anne Louise currently serves as the Firm's Director of Technical Services and designated internal monitor for quality control. She qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 1984 after graduating from Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Anne Louise has 30 years of experience in public practice with DJB, as well as 10 years of experience in the automotive industry. While employed with DJB, Anne Louise has been the lead auditor on many engagements and performs detailed working paper reviews for review and audit engagements. She also performs a quality control review of the financial statements for assurance engagements. Anne Louise has considerable involvement in the Assurance Technical Committee, quality control, and developing and leading in-house training. She enjoys mentoring and helping the accounting students as they grow in their careers. Ashley Angelone

Ashley completed her Diploma in Business Administration with honours and continued on to complete her Post-Graduate Certificate for Medical Office Assistant. Brent leads the Firm's Economic Loss Quantification Group. He works with plaintiff and defence lawyers, as well as insurance companies in the preparation of a variety of economic loss calculations (including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall claims, medical malpractice claims, dependency claims, etc.), commercial litigation claims, and income replacement benefits (IRB) calculations. Brent has served as an expert witness in court, as well as at arbitrations, pretrials, and settlement meetings. His experience also includes business interruption insurance claims. In addition, he provides consulting, accounting, and financial planning services for businesses and their owners. He has a broad range of experience in manufacturing, construction, real estate, retail, distribution, and not-for-profit organizations.
