D&N International (initially named as D&N Intellectual Property Bureau, a subsidiary of a corporation established under Vietnam Union of Science and Technology) was established in 1992, right after the Vietnamese Government had applied a new "open door" policy and started to transit from a centre-controlled economic platform into a market one.
