During my third year at University of Guelph, my future wife and I decided that we would go on a cross-country road trip to the west coast. The adventure demanded a serious camera so we purchased our first 35mm SLR in 1987. Even though film and processing had become much less expensive relative to my income, the art of photography still wasn't free. That first SLR started to teach me about composition, lighting and, although I didn't realize it at the time, perspective...
