Doghouse Pianos was established in 2001 by Jim and Amy Tiernan. We are 1999 graduates of the Basic and Advanced Piano Technology programs at Boston's North Bennet Street School. Since our days as students at NBSS we have been active members of the Piano Technicians Guild and have both passed a series of exams to achieve Registered Piano Technician (RPT) status. Actively participating in state, regional, and national conferences through PTG has been an integral part of our craft... We specialize in the comprehensive restoration of fine grand and upright pianos, as well as the sentimental family heirloom piano.
