Alyssa Gurney

Alyssa began working for DG during her senior year at Norwich University while she majored in Civil Engineering and minored in Construction Management before graduating in 2022. She grew up in Claremont, NH, and later moved to North Springfield, VT, where she, with her husband, continue his family's farming tradition. In her free time, she manages their herd of beef cattle, horses, sheep, chickens, and guinea fowl with the help of her two dogs and barn cat. She enjoys trail riding, spending time with her friends and family, and reading.

Andrea Day - VP

Andrea began her career in geotechnical engineering after graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering and the University of Washington with a master's degree in civil engineering. After relocating to Montana, she transitioned from geotechnical to municipal and on-site water and wastewater projects. Born and raised in Vermont, she returned to be closer to family and joined Dufresne Group in 2014. When she isn't busy coaching her daughter's soccer team or cheering on her son, you may find her camping, boating, or running around the Northeast Kingdom.

Brandy Little

Job Titles:
  • Administrative Assistant
Brandy is often the first voice you'll hear when contacting Dufresne Group. She was raised in Orford, NH and has resided in the Northeast Kingdom of VT with her two children since 2012. Brandy joined our firm in 2020 bringing over 15 years of dedicated customer service experience to her role as an Administrative Assistant. Brandy also holds the title of Notary Public in the State of VT. Over the years she has honed her skills in fostering positive client relationships and ensuring the smooth day to day operation of our St. Johnsbury office. Brandy is currently working towards her degree in Behavioral Science at CCV. This blend of administrative expertise and understanding of human behavior positions her as a valuable asset in any collaborative environment.

Charles Flower III

Charlie started with DG in 2014 as a field engineer. He graduated in 2012 from California State Polytechnic University with a double-major bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Environmental Resources Engineering with a focus in groundwater systems. Charlie is a proud father of a large family and spends his spare time running, mountain biking, woodworking, and building his family home.

Christina Haskins - VP

Christina has been with Dufresne Group since 2007, after spending a few very enjoyable years in the ski industry. As a proud graduate of both Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Norwich University, Christina's educational background includes industrial engineering, civil engineering, and project management. Christina resides on a farm in Jamaica, VT, with her family and several adopted rescue animals. She is a proud mom of one son, an equestrian enthusiast, and an avid skier.

Elizabeth Emmons

Job Titles:

Elizabeth began her career in building systems design with Dufresne-Henry and then in 2003 joined Dufresne Group and transitioned into the water, wastewater and stormwater fields. She earned a degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from VTC and then returned to obtain a master's degree in civil engineering from Norwich University while working full-time. Elizabeth has filled every project position at DG, surveyor, designer, resident project representative, and project manager. When she is not busy making sure projects are on schedule at the office, you may find her camping with her family.

Josie Gombas

Job Titles:
  • Engineering Technician
Josie graduated from Norwich University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in construction management and joined DG in 2019. Josie's primary role at DG is Resident Project Representative. During the winter months, she assists with design.

Matt Bissell

Job Titles:
  • Engineering Technician
Matthew grew up with a construction background working in the trades in his early life. After graduating from Vermont Technical College in 2014 with an associate degree in civil engineering, he immediately started work at Dufresne Group. Matt has since served as Resident Project Representative, Project Engineer and CAD designer on a multitude of projects, most notably as the RPR during the replacement of the Brattleboro Water Treatment Facility. Matt has a broad range of experience in technical engineering programs such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and ArcGIS. When not at work Matt enjoys staying active with golf, home improvement projects and spending time with his family.

Megan van der Stok

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Megan joined the DG team in June 2019. Prior to being office manager, she held a few administrative roles and a human resources role, which gave her the experience of providing exceptional administrative and Human Resources support. She has obtained her Certified Public Bookkeeper license to provide the best bookkeeping support for DG and their clients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter and working on their small farm.

Mitchell O'Neil

Mitchell began work at Dufresne Group as a summer intern in 2019 before returning to work full-time after graduating from Norwich University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He grew up and still lives in Southern Vermont. Mitchell has grown up in the construction industry and worked for his parent's excavation company through his teenage years. Mitchell spends most of his time at work in the field monitoring construction projects or surveying. When not in the field Mitchell contributes to design work with AutoCAD Civil3D and has experience with other engineering programs like ArcGIS, HydroCAD, and WaterGEMS.

Naomi Johnson - President

Naomi Johnson has been designing water, wastewater and stormwater systems for over 34 years. She was one of the original employees of Dufresne Group when it was founded in 1999. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Civil Engineering and received an Environmental Engineering Master's Degree from Montana State University. Naomi grew up in Chester, Vermont and now resides in Springfield where she enjoys flower gardening, home construction projects and time with her grand-daughter.

Randy Goodwin

Job Titles:
  • Construction Manager
Randy joined DG in 2000 and specializes in construction management and cost estimating. He has over 25 years of construction experience for numerous municipal water, wastewater and stormwater projects. Randy grew up in the Northeast Kingdom and is a lifelong Vermonter. When he is not working, you might find him over his sugaring arch. He is active in the Vermont Maple Association and has a steady stream of DG employees as customers for his award-winning maple syrup.

Robert E. Dufresne

  • Senior Engineer
Robert E. Dufresne (RED) founded Dufresne Group and worked for over 45 years as a consulting engineer with expertise in water treatment. Red retired in 2018 and now has more time to spend gardening, hunting and with his children and grandchildren.

Stan Welch

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Stan has been full-time with DG since 2018 providing project engineering and project management services for private and municipal clients throughout VT and NH. From 2008 through 2012 while working towards a degree from the University of New Hampshire he spent his summers as a DG intern working as a resident project representative and survey technician. After graduating from UNH in 2012, Stan continued his professional career as a civilian employee with the Department of the Navy gaining valuable public sector perspective. After five years in the public sector, Stan replanted roots in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom and joined the consulting community as a licensed PE in VT and NH. Stan has provided engineering services on private, municipal, and federal projects throughout New England and the variety of his experiences and knowledge serve as an asset to DG through all phases of projects, big and small. Beyond his career Stan enjoys outdoor recreation with his family, especially VT summertime on the water.

Timothy Knapp

Tim Knapp is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. With a solid academic foundation, Tim has refined his expertise over nearly 20 years in civil/site design, project management, permitting, drafting, and water system modeling. As a drummer, Tim finds enjoyment in both the professional and musical worlds. Whether he's orchestrating the details of a complex project or creating rhythm behind the drum kit, Tim enjoys the pursuit of balancing precision and creativity.
