To keep up with the growing need of care in the area, we have expanded our facilities multiple times. In 2019, we grew our oncology program significantly with the opening of the Spencer Cancer Center, a $40 million development. In 2021, we opened the Auburn Medical Pavilion in the Auburn University Research Park. The Auburn Medical Pavilion houses the East Alabama Medical Center Freestanding Emergency Department, outpatient lab and radiology services, an ambulatory surgery center and a specialized Breast Health Center... There are a record number of patients in our community needing access to psychiatric services.
