Mr. Saksena is a co - founder - partner of M/s. Desai Saksena & Associates, Chartered Accountants. He is practicing since 1984, in the fields of Audit, Taxation and is actively involved in Financial Consultancy. He specializes in Income Tax, SEBI Laws, Company Law, NBFC Laws, foreign investment and FEMA 1999. He is a well-known personality in the field of Restructuring of Companies.
He specializes in Mergers, Acquisition and Demergers. He is an active member of the Taxation Committee, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has contributed over 50 articles to various journals and newspapers on topics of Income Tax and Company Law. He is also a regular speaker at various seminars, study circles and forums, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has addressed over 120 seminars since 1993 on legal topics and annual budgeting.
He has represented the Institute before several authorities seeking redressal of grievances. He handles the legal aspects of the firm and represents before the Tax Authorities, Tribunal, Registrar of Companies, Company Law Board and in FEMA matters.
Dr. Desai is a co - founder - partner of M/s. Desai Saksena & Associates, Chartered Accountants. In 1981, he set up his private practice in Mumbai and in 1984, he became one of the founders of DSA. His areas of specialization are Valuation, Project Finance, Forensic Audits, Financial Restructuring of Companies and Financial Strategies. Based on his extensive experience, he has completed his doctorate from the University of Mumbai. The topic of his thesis was "Business Strategy for Maximising Shareholder's Value with Special Emphasis on Financial Strategies". For his doctorate he did an elaborate analysis of BSE 500 Companies. He has completed more than 100 valuation assignments for FDIs, demergers, amalgamations, PE investments and sale of business.
He has presented several papers and has been a keynote speaker at various seminars conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants India. He has assisted the ICAI in designing the course content for its certificate course on valuation. He is also a member of the visiting faculty at various Management Institutes. He is founder director of Orion Capital Services Ltd., which is engaged in providing financial services.
He is in-charge of financial consultancy, valuation of companies and intangible assets, assurance practice, forensic audits, due diligence and other special assignments.
Dr. Desai is also a senior advisor on Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
Mr. Dasari joined the firm in 2011. He handles various statutory internal and concurrent audits, income tax, TDS, and attends to the day to day correspondence with the Income Tax Department. He is in-charge of Qatar Office.
