Earth2Orbit and its client Skybox Imaging spent over 5 years building a bridge between the United States and India such that American satellite-makers could have access to launch opportunities on the Indian PSLV rocket and by doing so, we made it possible for the PSLV to access the US launch market which was closed due to the 1998 US Embargo and ITAR export control restrictions... The idea for E2O came about over coffee at ‘The Grove' on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. We started out with a dream is to see India emerge as a global space player and not be limited to a government-run program. E2O has had an organic business model that has had multiple avatars. We are passionate about what we do. We are value-driven, not valuation-driven... In 2014, Earth2Orbit made history, when its California client Skybox Imaging signed the 1st ever launch agreement between an American company and ISRO | Antrix.
