Dusty Myers

Dusty joined Eagle Creek in late 2019 and has over 18 years of engineering experience. As a regulator in the State of Mississippi he oversaw the dam safety program which had oversight of over 6800+ dams. Just prior to joining Eagle Creek, he spent a brief period with the Tennessee Valley Authority primarily focused on dam safety policy and oversight. Dusty came on board with Eagle Creek in 2019 as the Chief Dam Safety Engineer responsible for developing and building an internal dam safety team to maintain the safety and compliance of our Projects. In April 2023, he was promoted to the Vice President of Engineering responsible for overseeing both the civil and mechanical/electrical engineering teams. Throughout his career he has been involved in numerous committees and other activities including serving on the Board of Directors of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials from 2011 to 2019, of which he was President from 2016-2017. Dusty is a registered professional engineer and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University and a master's degree in environmental engineering from Jackson State University.

Jessica D'Orazio

Jessica's experience in human resources spans 15 years, focusing on strategic planning, human resources management, employee relations and benefits compliance. Notably, Jessica optimized Company compensation and benefits plans, consolidating upon Company acquisitions to create synergies and financial efficiencies for both the Company and for its employees. Jessica previously served as Director of Human Resources for Cube Hydro Partners. Prior to Cube Hydro, Jessica served as Director of Operations and Administration for MIP Global, Inc., which included two registered investment advisers, one broker/dealer and several private equity, real estate and hedge funds. At MIP Global, Inc., Jessica managed relationships with external counsel, including procurement and negotiations for all domestic and international offices. She also designed and directed the company's human resources strategies, policies, and practices, leading critical firm initiatives including strategic planning, leadership development, skills assessment and evaluation, compensation, employee engagement, employee relations, and compliance. Jessica is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations.

Jessica King

Jessica joined Eagle Creek in 2023 and brings over 15 years of professional experience in Project Management, Project Controls, Commercial Management, and Procurement. Jessica has played key roles in development of N286 compliant management systems, Master Services Agreements for execution of EPC projects, and considerable project execution governance. Jessica previously held the role of Vice President, Business Optimization. Prior to joining Eagle Creek, Jessica was the Director of Project Controls for Renewable Generation & Corporate Projects at OPG where she led the implementation of project management governance for renewable generation, IT, business development, electrification, and real estate projects. Jessica is a people-focused leader, and brings valuable experience in organizational development, process improvement, and fostering a strong workplace culture. Jessica has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Education.

Jody Smet

Jody Smet has 20 years professional experience in environmental planning, regulatory permitting, NEPA review, project licensing and compliance in the hydropower industry. She has been instrumental in the successful relicensing of numerous hydro projects, has a long history of implementing hydro licenses, and has deep regulatory experience working with FERC and other regulatory entities. Jody has extensive experience in watershed restoration and land and shoreline management planning; recreation planning; cultural resources management; and RTE species protection and planning and has an in-depth knowledge of federal and state hydropower statutes. Before joining Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, Jody led regulatory compliance in her role with Cube Hydro and in a consulting capacity for Alcoa, Brookfield Renewable Partners, and Dominion Energy, among others. Jody received her B.A. from Mary Washington University and holds a Master's degree in Environmental Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jody is also an AICP Certified Planner and graduate of North Carolina State University's Natural Resources Leadership Institute.

Keith Hoover - CFO

Keith joined Eagle Creek in 2012 and has over 15 years professional experience in financial reporting, federal, state and local tax planning, technical accounting, planning and analysis, and financial systems. Prior to his current position Keith was director - financial reporting and accounting. In that capacity and in previous roles at Eagle Creek he held leadership positions related to financial reporting, planning and forecasting, external reporting, income tax planning and compliance, and financial system implementations. Keith received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University and his bachelor's degree in accounting from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Keith has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of New Jersey since 2009.

Mark Gross

Mark Gross began his career as a Mechanical Engineer with the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) in 1988. While at ALCOA, Mark advanced his knowledge of industrial system and process controls and later moved into project engineering and project management. During this time, he held various roles at the Badin North Carolina Aluminum Smelter and the division level. In 2002, Mark took over the management of ALCOA's 215 MW Yadkin hydroelectric project in central North Carolina. In 2011, Mark became the Vice President of ALCOA's domestic hydro operations, which included the Yadkin Project, the 360 MW Tapoco hydro project (later sold to Brookfield Renewables) and the combined control center in Tennessee. In February 2017, ALCOA completed the sale of the Yadkin Project to Cube Hydro Partners. Mark joined Cube Hydro as the Vice President of Operations, where he is focused on applying his knowledge of operations excellence across the portfolio. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.

Marty Karpenski

Marty Karpenski was with Foster Wheeler Corporation for over thirty years, most recently as President and CEO of Foster Wheeler Power Systems, Inc. This group focused on developing, owning and operating facilities in the energy and process industries. He also held various positions in the corporate law department and commercial divisions. Significantly, he led the development of several large-scale projects including an integrated cogeneration and delayed coking facility for a refinery in Chile, two large-scale waste-to-energy facilities in the United States, and two hydrogen production facilities in South America. He has extensive experience in domestic and international large-scale energy production, refinery and process facilities in the areas of project development, finance, operations and corporate management. Mr. Karpenski earned a BE in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University and a JD degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Neal Simmons - CEO, President

Neal brings to Eagle Creek strategic leadership skills and strong innovation and technical expertise. Neal previously served as Senior Vice President of Engineering & Major Projects at ECRE, as Vice President of Engineering at Cube Hydro, and as a professor of mechanical engineering at Duke University for 15 years. At Duke, he played a key role in the formation of Energy Engineering program. Neal remains committed to the importance of energy education and continues to teach courses at Duke on renewable energy technologies, modern power systems, hydroelectric generation, and engineering innovation. He has also overseen the rehabilitation, automation, and management of several damaged and underperforming projects. Neal has started two successful engineering companies and has been granted over 25 US patents, which are licensed worldwide. He has over 90 peer reviewed publications and conference proceedings. Neal graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and from Duke University with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science.

Nick Ivancic
