Alfred Falzone is an Associate in Eaton Peabody's Litigation Practice Group based in the firm's Portland office. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Alfred obtained broad litigation experience through several years in practice at a Wall Street firm and as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York. While attending Brooklyn Law School, Alfred served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ramon Reyes Jr. of the Eastern District of New York, as well as a clinical intern for the United States Attorney's Office. Alfred was also the Editor-in-Chief of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and was a Zaretsky Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Fellow. Bruce Hochman's practice focuses on a broad range of banking and private business clients in connection with all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, commercial restructuring, insolvency, receiverships, foreclosure actions, and other financial distress and insolvency matters. He has represented numerous banks, credit unions, and secured and unsecured creditors before the Federal Bankruptcy Courts of Maine and has served as special counsel to the trustee in several proceedings. Bruce has also been counsel to unsecured creditor's committees in many chapter 11 proceedings in Maine. He has spoken on many topics including creditor's rights and obligations, collection and foreclosure law and bankruptcy issues. Bruce has substantial trial experience both in federal and state courts, and provides knowledgeable advice and counsel for clients in claims related to financial issues. For more than forty years, he has successfully represented a wide range of lending institutions, businesses, and individuals in consumer and commercial litigation involving construction disputes, mechanic's liens, arbitrations and contract negotiations. Caitlin Carroll is an Associate in Eaton Peabody's Business Practice Group. She is based in the Firm's Bangor office, but frequently travels to the firm's other offices in Augusta, Ellsworth, and Portland. Caitlin's areas of focus include business formation and structuring, mergers and acquisitions, angel/venture capital financings, securities offerings, and general corporate work. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Caitlin earned her Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in May 2023. In addition to her Juris Doctor, she also earned a Diplôme Universitaire in French and European Union Law, and an LL.M. in Business Law, Taxation and Compliance, from CY Cergy Paris Université in May 2023. While at Vermont Law, Caitlin served as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Harold E. Eaton, Jr. of the Vermont Supreme Court, as a summer associate at Eaton Peabody, and as an Articles Editor on Vermont Law Review. Caitlin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas where she majored in International Business. While at St. Edward's, Caitlin studied abroad in Angers, France to focus on European History and International Business, and San Jose, Costa Rica to focus on Global Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Business Communication. David Pierson is probably the only construction lawyer in Maine to have spent the first fifteen years of his career owning and running a successful construction business. His experience was gained in building projects like the Thomas Moser Cabinet Makers factory in Auburn and other commercial and industrial projects, as well as overseeing the construction of the Good Shepherd Foodbank's 52,000 s.f. Auburn warehouse facility as head of its building committee. David has represented owners, architects, and builders in all aspects of construction from design to project completion, and when necessary, dispute resolution.
