Alfred Falzone is an Associate in Eaton Peabody's Litigation Practice Group based in the firm's Portland office. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Alfred obtained broad litigation experience through several years in practice at a Wall Street firm and as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York. While attending Brooklyn Law School, Alfred served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ramon Reyes Jr. of the Eastern District of New York, as well as a clinical intern for the United States Attorney's Office. Alfred was also the Editor-in-Chief of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and was a Zaretsky Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Fellow.
Alfred holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient/Medieval History from the University of North Carolina.

Bruce Hochman's practice focuses on a broad range of banking and private business clients in connection with all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, commercial restructuring, insolvency, receiverships, foreclosure actions, and other financial distress and insolvency matters. He has represented numerous banks, credit unions, and secured and unsecured creditors before the Federal Bankruptcy Courts of Maine and has served as special counsel to the trustee in several proceedings. Bruce has also been counsel to unsecured creditor's committees in many chapter 11 proceedings in Maine. He has spoken on many topics including creditor's rights and obligations, collection and foreclosure law and bankruptcy issues.
Bruce has substantial trial experience both in federal and state courts, and provides knowledgeable advice and counsel for clients in claims related to financial issues. For more than forty years, he has successfully represented a wide range of lending institutions, businesses, and individuals in consumer and commercial litigation involving construction disputes, mechanic's liens, arbitrations and contract negotiations.

Caitlin Carroll is an Associate in Eaton Peabody's Business Practice Group. She is based in the Firm's Bangor office, but frequently travels to the firm's other offices in Augusta, Ellsworth, and Portland. Caitlin's areas of focus include business formation and structuring, mergers and acquisitions, angel/venture capital financings, securities offerings, and general corporate work.
Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Caitlin earned her Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in May 2023. In addition to her Juris Doctor, she also earned a Diplôme Universitaire in French and European Union Law, and an LL.M. in Business Law, Taxation and Compliance, from CY Cergy Paris Université in May 2023. While at Vermont Law, Caitlin served as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Harold E. Eaton, Jr. of the Vermont Supreme Court, as a summer associate at Eaton Peabody, and as an Articles Editor on Vermont Law Review.
Caitlin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas where she majored in International Business. While at St. Edward's, Caitlin studied abroad in Angers, France to focus on European History and International Business, and San Jose, Costa Rica to focus on Global Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Business Communication.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys international and local travel, especially exploring all around Maine with her dog Sirius. As a newcomer to Maine, she looks forward to joining her local communities and of course, her first wild moose encounter.

David Pierson is probably the only construction lawyer in Maine to have spent the first fifteen years of his career owning and running a successful construction business. His experience was gained in building projects like the Thomas Moser Cabinet Makers factory in Auburn and other commercial and industrial projects, as well as overseeing the construction of the Good Shepherd Foodbank's 52,000 s.f. Auburn warehouse facility as head of its building committee. David has represented owners, architects, and builders in all aspects of construction from design to project completion, and when necessary, dispute resolution. All of this adds to his unique knowledge and insight on construction, contracting, general business and economic development that few can match.
A practicing attorney since 1993, Pierson has been named among the Best Lawyers in Maine by his peers in the area of construction law since 2007. He serves as corporate counsel to the Maine Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors and Homebuilders and Remodelers Association of Maine.

Dina brings over 20 years of experience as a legal assistant having acquired a diverse knowledge in various legal practice areas including business law, real estate, estate planning and litigation. She joined Eaton Peabody's Portland office in March 2015 as an administrative assistant supporting several attorneys in the areas of litigation, real estate and intellectual property. Before joining Eaton Peabody, Dina worked primarily as a legal/paralegal assistant in the business law group and estate planning department of a large Portland law firm for over 19 years. She received her A.S. in 1990 at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, with a primary focus on paralegal studies. She received her B.S. at the University of Southern Maine in 1998, having majored in Social Work and Psychology.

Eileen has been employed at Eaton Peabody for over 25 years. She began her employment as an administrative assistant in the Litigation Practice Group and assumed a paralegal position in 2013. Her primary focus is in the area of civil litigation. Her responsibilities include supporting several attorneys and assisting with all aspects of litigation, drafting complaints, motions and other court-related documents for filing in Maine courts at the county, state, and federal level. Eileen also works with the firm's bank and credit union clients assisting with creditor collections. She has also recently begun assisting in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group working in the area of estate administration.
Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Eileen worked as a legal secretary in a mid-size law firm in Hartford, Connecticut until 1993. Eileen was born in Hartford and graduated from Manchester Community College in 1978.

Elisa brings over 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant to her work at Eaton Peabody. Before entering the legal world, she worked in a wide variety of industries including business commerce, healthcare, employment, and franchising. Elisa first joined Eaton Peabody's Bangor office, working as an assistant in the firm's Economic Development and Government Relations Department for over four years. In 2013, Elisa moved to the Portland office, working in the Litigation Department. Elisa's work at Eaton Peabody has included municipal, environmental, public utilities, regulatory, family, criminal, commercial, product liability and other such matters in courts throughout the State of Maine and other states at the county, state, and federal levels.

Emma Pooler is an Associate in Eaton Peabody's Litigation Practice Group based in Portland, Maine.
Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Emma earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law in May 2023. At The University of Maine School of Law, Emma was an executive board member of the Women's Law Association.
While in law school, Emma worked as a Legal Intern for the Maine Federal Defender's Office in Portland. Emma also served as a Student Attorney for the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic and the Rural Practice Clinic. During her time at the Rural Practice Clinic in Fort Kent, she assisted clients in divorce matters, child custody disputes, criminal proceedings, protection from abuse matters, drafting power of attorneys and wills, and civil litigation. Emma acted as a lawyer of the day and assisted clients with criminal proceedings in Fort Kent and Madawaska District Courts.
Emma also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology with a concentration in Crime, Law, and Justice from the University of Maine in Orono.
