In 1962, Ed McCrudden and Hugh Ander son hence "EDSON" were commissioned to manufacture a carton packer to assist in the packaging process. That one machine lead to what Edson is today. Edson's first case packer was manufactured for a candy manufacturer in 1964 and Edson received their first patent in 1966. From the humble beginnings in Ed McCrudden's garage; to having machinery in nearly all North American tissue mills today, Edson continues to build on the foundation started by Mr. McCrudden.
