Jim is an intellectual property attorney with more than thirty years of experience in intellectual property law, including licensing intellectual property and various other aspects of patent law. Prior to joining ecotechlaw®, Jim was employed as a patent attorney with The Dow Chemical Company from 1975 to 1980. From 1980 until his (temporary) retirement in 2006, Jim was employed as Senior Counsel with Chevron Corporation. He has also served as an expert witness on the licensing of technology in a lawsuit involving several hundred million dollars in licensing fees.
