Aaron Martin - CFO

Aaron Martin serves as the chief financial officer at EIRMC. In this role, Martin's primary responsibilities include overseeing EIRMC's fiscal operations and leading several departments, including Accounting, Patient Access, Health Information Management, Case Management, and Supply Chain Services. Prior to EIRMC, Aaron served as CFO for three years at HCA Healthcare sister facility John Randolph Medical Center near Richmond, Virginia. Previously, he served as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer at Henrico Doctor's Hospital, also in Richmond, and with Lourdes Health Network and Deaconess Hospital in Washington. Originally from Spokane, Aaron received his bachelor and master's degrees from Eastern Washington University and Gonzaga University, respectively.

Betsy Hunsicker - CEO

Betsy Hunsicker serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at EIRMC. In this role, she is responsible for managing overall operations for the facility, including clinical quality, physician recruitment, financial operations and employee relations. Hunsicker has nearly thirty years of various healthcare experiences at organizations across the nation. Most recently, she was CEO for West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho, a sister facility also operated by HCA Healthcare. During her tenure, multiple services were added to the facility, increasing access for patients needing neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, and bariatric surgery. Additionally, Hunsicker had a strong focus on high-quality clinical care, as the facility earned the Leapfrog National Safety Score of "A" for nine consecutive years. West Valley Medical Center was also named a "Best Place to Work" by Modern Healthcare nine times. Prior to her tenure at West Valley Medical Center, Hunsicker was the Chief Operating Officer at HCA Healthcare's Rose Medical Center, a large hospital with complex services located in Denver, Colorado. Community service is "top of mind" for Hunsicker. Her past board service includes as Chair for the Idaho Hospital Association, HCA Healthcare Hope Fund, Caldwell Family YMCA and more. Hunsicker earned a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Health Services Administration, both from the University of Florida. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. Hunsicker is married to husband Jeff and they have two children. Together, they enjoy fishing, skiing, and boating.

Brandi Allred

Brandi Allred serves as the chief nursing officer for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. In this role, she oversees clinical nursing operations throughout the hospital, ensures quality patient care, and leads efforts to increase patient satisfaction. Allred has many years of healthcare leadership experience at various hospitals in Idaho, Utah, and Tennessee. Most recently, she served as assistant chief nursing officer at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, a 741-bed comprehensive medical facility where she oversaw the Women's, Children's, and Oncology service lines. During her time at Centennial, Allred completed HCA's Advanced Leadership Program for ACNOs and was a Capstone finalist for the work she did around wellness. Allred's roots run deep in the Idaho and Utah area. She began a robust nursing career at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah, first as a Behavioral Health RN. Allred worked, also, on their Progressive Care Unit, the Medical/Surgical Unit, and as House Supervisor. While at Lakeview Hospital, she was promoted to the Director of the Medical/ Surgical Floor. Allred holds a Master of Science in Nursing Management from Western Governor's University in Nursing Management, and graduated from Idaho State University's RN program. She was also the recipient of the HCA Nursing Excellence Award for Professional Mentoring, the organization's most prestigious honor for nurses who help other nurses grow in their skillset. By way of background, Allred grew up in Preston, Idaho, where she learned the value of hard work, dedication, and attention to detail on the family farm. Today, Brandi and her husband reside in Idaho Falls, where they raise their three children. As a family, they enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing, skiing and snowboarding, cooking and eating good food.

Jeremy Claunch

Jeremy Claunch serves as the Assistant chief financial officer at EIRMC. Prior to EIRMC, Jeremy served as the CFO at Power County Hospital in American Falls, Idaho for seven years. Previously, he served as the financial controller at EIRMC and Driscoll Brothers. Jeremy has been in the healthcare industry for over a decade. Before healthcare, Jeremy gained experience in the farming industry as a controller. In this role, Jeremy's primary responsibilities include overseeing ERIMC's financial reporting, monitoring day-to-day operations, managing several departments, including Accounting, Health Information Systems Management, Supply Chain Services, and Case Management. Additionally, Jeremy leads his team to deliver high quality, strategic solutions in the world of healthcare. Growing up in Southeast Idaho, Jeremy attended Idaho State University where he respectively received his bachelor's and master's degrees in finance and accounting. Jeremy also received his certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Nicholas Manning - COO

Nicholas Manning named chief operations officer; Wendy McClain appointed VP of operations Nick Manning serves as the Chief Operations Officer for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. In this role, Manning oversees day-to-day operations at EIRMC and directly leads several service lines, including EIRMC's Behavioral Health Center, surgical services, cardiovascular services, medical imaging, and oncology. Manning is a familiar face to many in our community, having served as EIRMC's Vice President of Operations from 2017 to 2019. During his tenure, he was instrumental in launching the Ronald McDonald Family Room at EIRMC, as well as EIRMC's Burn Center. He also oversaw EIRMC's multi-year construction and renovation project that impacted the entire footprint of the hospital. Most recently, Manning served as the Chief Operating Officer at Rochester Regional Health's Rochester General Hospital (RGH), a 528-bed tertiary referral center and teaching hospital in upstate New York. He started a few months before the pandemic hit New York, and was instrumental in leading the hospital's COVID-19 pandemic response, including surge planning, staffing contingency plans, ER expansion, OR throughput and contingency planning, and the logistics behind implementing the state of New York's vaccine mandate for all healthcare professionals. Additionally, Nick provided operational oversight for emergency services, hospitalist medicine, perioperative and endoscopy services, respiratory services, plant operations, environmental services, food and nutrition services, and several other ancillary departments. He also oversaw with his team the opening of a $253M patient care tower, including a 7-story critical care addition, women's and newborn suites, 20 operating rooms and 108 acuity-adaptable private inpatient beds. On a personal note, Nicholas grew up in Utah and is excited to come back west and to return to Idaho Falls. Nick and his partner, Will, both love the outdoors and the arts and look forward to enjoying all that our region has to offer.

Patricia Howell

Patricia Howell, M.D., serves as the chief medical officer (CMO) for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. In this role, Howell leads initiatives that support consistent clinical performance and physician excellence across the hospital. Dr. Howell has an impressive background having served in various clinical and administrative leadership roles for over two decades. Most recently, Dr. Howell served as CMO of Porter Adventist Hospital, a 368-bed facility in Denver. In addition to administrative leadership experience, Dr. Howell, is an exceptional physician and astute business person. In 1999, she started her own Hospitalist practice at Swedish Medical Center, a 408-bed Level I Trauma and tertiary referral center, affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine Programs. Dr. Howell completed undergraduate and medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno, and completed her residency at Swedish Medical Center. Her childhood was spent on a Black Angus cattle ranch in Starr Valley, Nevada, just four hours southwest of Idaho Falls. She is married to Scott DelTufo and they have three children.

Stacey Crandall

Stacey Crandall serves as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) for EIRMC. In this role, she will work with the Chief Nursing Officer to oversee clinical nursing operations throughout the hospital, ensure quality patient care, and lead efforts to increase patient satisfaction. Crandall is an experienced leader. Most recently, she served as the Emergency Department Director at Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, UT, and has Emergency Department leadership experience at two other hospitals affiliated with the Mountain Division of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Prior to her hospital leadership positions, she was a noteworthy leader as a Home Health and Hospice Administrator. Crandall is known for providing top quality care to patients in various specialties including Emergency, Wound Care, Medical, Surgical, Pediatric, IV specialty placement, Wound Care, and Home Care and Hospice. Crandall is driven by compassion, quality, patient care, and ethical leadership. She takes pride in building trusting relationships and delivering high quality patient outcomes. Crandall was the recipient of the HCA Excellence in Nursing award for Professional Mentorship in 2020 and recognized by Utah Honors of Nursing for exemplary leadership is 2019. Crandall earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Weber State University and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University. Crandall enjoys spending time with her family recreating in the outdoors. She is inspired daily by her husband, three children, and daughter in law who help her to see the brighter side of life.

Wendy McClain

Wendy McClain serves as the vice president of operations. In this role, she leads several departments, including Therapy Services, Respiratory Therapy, Environmental Services, and Food and Nutrition. Wendy most recently was the vice president of business development at our sister facility, West Valley Medical Center (WVMC), in Caldwell, Idaho. She had oversight of the hospital's strategic planning process and growth initiatives, as well as several ancillary departments. Wendy excels in building programs from the ground up. One such program was West Valley's "Ortho Ethos" program - a "VIP" experience for spine and total joint patients. Her ability to establish a vision, collaborate with providers and nursing, and lead the overall execution of the program resulted in significant volume growth in their spine and total-joint programs. Wendy also served as the director of marketing at WVMC, and prior, at Kansas Medical Clinic, an independent physician-owned multi-specialty group. She also has a background in pharmaceutical sales and worked for Eli Lilly and Company for nearly seven years. On a personal note, Wendy is originally from Kansas but has been coming to Idaho to visit family all her life. She has been married to her husband, Jim, for 25 years and they have two grown children, Katie and Tanner. Plus, they have an old bird dog and two cats! Wendy and Jim love to travel, whether it be a road trip to a great hiking spot or going to Kauai. She loves the arts, including stage and screen productions.
