M. Justin McDermott is a graduate of New York University (B.A.), Whittier Law School (J.D.), and Stetson University College of Law (LL.M.) He is a member of the State Bars of California and New York. Mr. McDermott began his professional career in New York City at FGI Finance, a privately held international trade finance company. He then joined fellow NYU alumni and technology entrepreneurs in the role of Corporate Regional Sales Manager for SeamlessWeb, "The 4th Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in the U.S." (Inc. Magazine "Hot 500" 2004). Exposed to Internet technologies and live and on-demand video streaming services in particular, he went on to co-found Webcatter Broadcasting, Inc. and Webcasting.com, Inc. Mr. McDermott then attended law school in Southern California, and during his first year, he became a California Certified Law Student, and obtained a position as a Law Clerk at a personal injury firm in Manhattan Beach. During his third year, he was selected to serve as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Margaret M. Bernal, Assistant Supervising Judge, Law & Motion, in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The only Whittier Law School student to be offered an opportunity to serve in the Law and Motion Department, he was Judge Bernal's longest serving Judicial Extern. His practical legal training introduced him to the law's diverse nature, but deeply personal experiences inspired his commitment to the field of Elder Law. His dedication to serving the elderly, their families, and individuals with special needs, led him to earn his Master of Laws from the United States' premier Elder Law program. Mr. McDermott joined the Law Offices of Stuart D. Zimring in 2015, and provides his clients with service oriented advice and sensitive counseling in the areas of Elder Law, Estate and Life Planning, Special Needs Trusts and Public Benefits, Conservatorships, Probate and Trust Administration. He is a member of the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates Section, San Fernando Valley Bar Association Probate and Estate Planning Section, Los Angeles County Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and Southern California NAELA Chapter (SoCal NAELA), of which he is a Member of the Executive Board and current President.

Stuart D. Zimring was born in Los Angeles, California, December 12, 1946. He was admitted to the Bar in 1972, and is admitted to practice in California and U.S. District Court, Central and Northern Districts of California and the U.S. Supreme Court. He received his B.A. degree in 1968 from UCLA and his J.D. degree in 1971 from the UCLA School of Law and is "AV" rated in Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the Los Angeles Superior Court Probate Volunteer Panel. Mr. Zimring is a Fellow of and Past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and a Charter Member of NAELA's Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP). He is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), is certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California and is one of the 7 California members of the Special Needs Alliance. Mr. Zimring serves on the Boards of Directors of a number of non-profit organizations, including Justice In Aging (formerly the the National Senior Citizens Law Center and is past-president of ONEgeneration in the San Fernando Valley, on whose Board he continues to serve. He is also a member of the Estate Counselors Forum, San Fernando Valley Estate Counselors Forum, San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles County Bar Associations (of which he is a past Chair of its Trust & Estates Executive Committee), State Bar of California and Southern California Council of Elder Law Attorneys. He is an Adjunct Professor at Stetson University College of Law and California State University Northridge on issues in Elder Law and Special Needs Trusts. He is a frequent speaker and writer on Elder Law, Special Needs Trusts and related issues throughout the country. He is co-author of "Tax, Estate and Financial Planning for the Elderly - California Guide" and "Fundamentals of Special Needs Trusts," both published by Matthew Bender/Lexis-Nexis, as well as a member of Matthew Bender's Elder Law Editorial Committee.
