Dr Bayardo Martell

Dr Bayardo Martell graduated from San Carlos University in Guatemala City obtaining his Doctor... Dr Martell graduated from San Carlos University in Guatemala City obtaining his Doctor in Dental Surgery degree in 1978. Shortly after, Dr Martell completed his Diploma in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine prior to becoming an Endodontist in 1983, when he completed his postgraduate training in Endodontology at Temple University in Philadelphia. A few years later he was appointed Professor and Director of the Endodontic Department at the School of Dentistry at Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala City, a position which he held until his move to the Australasian region in 1998. Dr Martell is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (Board Certified). He has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is a Past President of the Australian Society of Endodontology, Queensland branch. He has lectured in several continents and has published in scientific journals. Dr Martell has special interests in endodontic diagnosis and in surgical endodontics. Dr Martell is a registered specialist Endodontist in New Zealand and Queensland and joined the Endodontic Group in 2002. He speaks fluent Spanish and English and he is also able to communicate with Italian and Portuguese speaking patients. Dr Martell thoroughly enjoys outdoor physical activity, is a dedicated long distance runner, plays competitive squash and he is a keen scuba diver. In 2018, Dr Martell was awarded Life Membership by the American Association of Endodontists in recognition of over 35 years of dedication and contribution to the field of endodontics.

Dr Hadeel Abdelhamid

Dr Hadeel Abdelhamid joined the Endodontic Group in 2024 bringing a wealth of diverse experience, a commitment to excellence and a global perspective. Prior to completing her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics at Griffith University, Hadeel graduated with top honours from a Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery at Alexandria University in Egypt. She then practised as a general dentist for almost 10 years in several practices internationally and in south-east Queensland before pursuing her specialist endodontic training. Hadeel's clinical work in relation to Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) applications in endodontics and guided endodontic microsurgeries has been recognised through publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is experienced in various aspects of contemporary endodontics, and has a special interest in endodontic microsurgery and the management of trauma cases. In addition to continuing to hone her own skills, Hadeel is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate dental students at Griffith University and is a reviewer for the Australian Dental Journal. She is also an active member of the Australian Society of Endodontology, American Association of Endodontists, the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists, International Association for Dental Traumatology, and the Australian Dental Association. Hadeel practises at the Endodontic Group's Robina and Indooroopilly clinics and is fluent in both English and Arabic. Outside of endodontics, Hadeel finds joy in travel and exploration alongside her husband and daughter.

Dr Jonathan Moore

Dr Jonathan Moore is expertly equipped with the knowledge and experience to give patients the best possible outcome for their root canal treatment in Ipswich. Dr Kush Ohri

Dr Kush Ohri enjoyed practising as a general dentist in Australia and overseas for over 10... Dr Kush Ohri enjoyed practising as a general dentist for over 10 years in both the public and private sectors throughout Brisbane, regional Queensland and overseas before choosing to specialise in endodontics. He completed his specialist endodontic training at the University of Queensland in 2023, and was recognised with the best presentation award at UQ's annual research day. From this project, he developed a deep understanding of modern-day rotary nickel-titanium instruments and how to manage instrument fractures when they occur. He is passionate about conventional root canal treatment and has a special interest and extensive experience in contemporary endodontic procedures like endodontic microsurgery, pulp regeneration and vital pulp therapy. Outside of clinical practice, Kush supervises postgraduate dental students and holds a lecturer position at UQ. He also volunteers his time to mentor recently graduated dentists and has contributed to the charitable organisation ‘Filling the Gap'. Kush is a member of Australian Society of Endodontology, American Association of Endodontists, International Association for Dental Traumatology and Australian Dental Association. He was awarded a RACDS Fellowship in General Dental Practice in 2019, is Treasurer of RACDS Queensland Regional Committee, and contributes as a reviewer for the Australian Endodontic Journal. Kush practises at the Endodontic Group's Wickham Terrace, Aspley and Maroochydore practices and is fluent in English and Hindi. Away from the profession, he can be found with his wife Neha (also a dentist) and being silly with their 2-year-old daughter Gia and their German Shepherd Nikko. He enjoys playing soccer, badminton and table tennis.

Dr Margot Anderson

Dr Margot Anderson completed her undergraduate studies in 2001 at the University of Queensland School of Dentistry, achieving first-class honours and a University Medal. After graduating, Margot worked in a large group practice in Brisbane as a general dentist. During this time, she developed an interest in endodontics and subsequently moved to Victoria where she graduated as a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry from the University of Melbourne. On her return to Brisbane, Margot joined the Endodontic Group in 2007 as a registered specialist and she currently works at our Aspley and Brisbane practices. She has a special interest in innovations in endodontic materials, which formed the basis of her thesis on rotary titanium instrumentation. Margot is a member of the Australian Dental Association and is immediate past-President of the Australian Society of Endodontology (Qld). She's been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at both the University of Queensland and Griffith University and has held the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Margot has also lectured locally and interstate to a number of study groups and professional organisations.

Dr Matthew Gentner

Dr Matthew Gentner graduated with Honours in 1990, attaining a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland. After three years in general dental practice in Brisbane, Matthew returned to the University of Queensland to complete a Master of Dental Science in Endodontics in 1995. Since then, he's been with the Endodontic Group practicing at Wickham Terrace and our other locations in south-east Queensland. Matthew is a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and he's a registered endodontist in Queensland. Matthew's research has been published in internationally recognised journals, and he's lectured extensively locally and interstate to both undergraduate dental students and postgraduate endodontic students. He's also been a demonstrator, tutor, and examiner to postgraduate students at the University of Queensland. Matthew is a former President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Australian Society of Endodontology (Queensland). Matthew is married to an orthodontist (Shari Prove) and together they have three children - Constance, Angus and Bridget. He's a keen tennis player and was even selected for the combined Australian University team in his student days. Matthew's other sporting interests include gym work and running.

Dr Timothy Smith

Dr Timothy Smith graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1985 and commenced work as an officer in the Australian Regular Army. His service included several postings around Australia, command of dental units and involvement in a humanitarian relief operation in Northern Iraq following the first Gulf War. Tim completed his Masters degree in Endodontology at the University of Queensland in 1995, joined the Endodontic Group in 1999 and has been a registered endodontist for more than 25 years. A former president of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Society of Endodontology, Tim regularly lectures and runs continuing education courses for students and graduates in the profession. Dentistry is very much in Tim's DNA, being the third generation of his family in the profession. He has two young sons who keep him very much occupied outside of work. Tim enjoys mountain biking and also jiu jitsu to help keep himself fit when he's not getting injured...

Sherri Daley

Sherri Daley joined the Endodontic Group in 2016 as HR Manager and soon progressed to the role of Practice Manager. In addition to her Cert IV in Human Resources, she has had extensive experience in the dental industry since 1993 and takes great pride in leading our large team of receptionists, dental assistants and administrative staff. Her aim is to always create a sense of inclusiveness and camaraderie amongst the team and ensure a shared vision of excellence, professionalism and compassion.
