Ashley Mejía is a specialist in Industrial Property. She has vast experience in the registration of trademarks, trade names, slogans, among others. Likewise, her experience includes the maintenance of distinctive sign registrations through timely renewals. She is also an expert in monitoring trademarks and other signs, detecting applications for registration of signs similar or identical to those of her clients through watches. Ashley's practice also encompasses the analysis of sign objections by the trademark office and the preparation of responses to such objections.
Ashley has expanded her knowledge through trainings provided by the National Office of Industrial Property (ONAPI). She has also completed a course on Industrial Designs, focused on the protection of the shape of a product, further highlighting her specialization in specific areas of Industrial Property.
Her knowledge and skills in Industrial Property allow her to provide efficient support to IP rights holders.

began working in Intellectual Property in Corrales & Associates since 1993 as a paralegal. In 1997 he obtained his law degree at the University of Costa Rica. In 1998 he earned his masters degree, LL.M. Intellectual Property in the prestigious Franklin Pierce School of Law, University of New Hampshire, USA.
In 1999 he worked as advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, working in the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement with Chile, FTAA and bilateral investment treaties with Switzerland and South Korea. In 2000 he joined again Corrales & Associates and since then has been in private practice with emphasis on Intellectual Property and Corporate Law. In 2013 founded Core IP, Ltda, as a boutique IP firm, advising not only clients but local firms in IP as well.
He has also worked as a professor in the master's program in Intellectual Property from UNED and other universities. Carlos is co-founder of the Association of Intellectual Property Professionals in Costa Rica APPICR, been its President between 2010-2012. He is currently active in APPICR and other associations such as INTA, ASIPI and APRAM.
Deonne is a past President of the Rotary Club of Montserrat and the Rotaract Club of Montserrat. She has been serving the people of Montserrat through service clubs and personal initiatives for more than 19 years.
Edy is a member of the most important worldwide intellectual property associations and organizations. She collaborates as a faculty member of INTA´s course on International Trademark Law and Practice during that group's annual meeting. She additionally is a Founding Board Member and past President of the Salvadoran Association of Intellectual Property (ASPI), serves on the Technical Committee of Trademark Attorneys at the Salvadoran Trademark and Patent Office, and represents Eproint on the IP Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). She has been the Salvadoran National Delegate for the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) for several terms and was elected the first President of the AIPPI regional group for Central America and the Caribbean.
Grace Lindo is the Partner in Eproint's Jamaica office. Her practice covers trademarks, copyright, patent prosecution, dealing with contentious issues, commercialisation IP transactions. She has been consistently ranked as a leading trademark professional in the Caribbean by the World Trade Mark Review (WTR) since 2014. Grace is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPPE), an accreditation given by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and was an ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) Fellow in 2016, 2017 and 2018 which has seen her contribute to global internet and technology policy through the extensive ICANN network. In 2015, Grace was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom in recognition of her status as a thought leader in her areas of expertise.

Luis Diego Castro is regarded as one of the most experienced attorneys on Patent Law and Life Sciences in Costa Rica and Central America. He currently practices in the areas of Intellectual Property, Technology, and Corporate Law, and coordinates Costa Rican and regional (Central American) patent prosecution and litigation work.
He recently obtained the first ever issued Court injunction on behalf of a large biotech company in Costa Rica, preventing a competitor from selling a biosimilar that presumably violated a patent for the manufacturing process.
Luis Diego was also head legal counsel for the plaintiff in two landmark patent cases before the Costa Rican Vourts. Filed and prosecuted the first plant variety to be registered in Costa Rica. Has obtained patent protection for multiple pharmaceutical and agrochemical biotech inventions filed on behalf of multinational companies.
Luis Diego has been a consultant for Nathan Associates on the project for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) "Support for Trade Capacity Building in Central America - E-Commerce".
Luis Diego has been a frequent invited lecturer and speaker on intellectual property topics at universities and trade associations in Costa Rica and abroad. He has also spoken about biotech patents and patent eligibility in Central America at several AIPLA events and webinars.
