Claire is the executive director of Women on Boards, which she co-founded with Ruth Medd in 2006 following a career in public relations and journalism. She is an experienced director in the small business and not-for-profit sectors. A highly respected commentator and speaker on gender diversity and related business issues, Claire received a Churchill Fellowship in 2010 to look at the impact of boardroom quotas in Norway and the progress of the public policy debate in the UK and France. She has a Bachelor of Arts (journalism) and is a graduate of the Sydney Social Leadership Program 2005. Claire grew up on a beef cattle property in northern NSW and is a former board member of the Foundation for Australian Agricultural Women

Genevieve has background training in ecology and entomology and works with Australian farmers and NSW DPI research station managers to develop and implement EMS on-farm. She also undertakes research, EMS policy development and education/extension on EMS. Genevieve is a foundation member of the UN Environmental Program Best Practice Network, established in 2004 and has worked on EMS since 1997 across a wide range of industries. She is the author of the National EMS training package, was on the organising committee for the past four EMS national conferences, has researched EMS adoption, published case studies of 40 farmers who adopted EMS or enhanced environmental management in Australia and New Zealand and also worked with international researchers on EMS in agriculture. Why she thinks EMS important for agriculture, industry and natural resource management in Australia? Genevieve Carruthers is the Principal of Carruthers Integrated Management Systems Consulting. She has worked exclusively in the EMS field for the past 15 years on international, national and local scales for a broad range of industries. She has a wide range of skills in EMS application and auditing, including thorough knowledge of ISO 14001 EMS Standard and associated ISO 14000 series. Genevieve is the current president of the EMS Association of Australia, a foundation member of the United Nations Environmental Program Best Practice Network and the author of the National Introduction to EMS training package for Agriculture. She believes that strong management commitment is a key component of successful EMSs and for improved environmental performance by businesses.

Mick is a passionate supporter of industry innovation and development within the construct of best environmental and social practice. Building a wide community of EMS knowledge and practice is Mick's aim for EMSA! As is being a community voice to influence environmental policy development at all levels of government. On a professional level, Mick has pursued an environmental management career after many years developing management and financial systems. Since July 2011, he has been working for the Department of Human Services as Director of Environmental Sustainability. Prior to this he worked at the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities developing and implementing policy on ICT sustainability, and Medicare Australia implementing their environmental management program. Mick also has consulting experience in constructing and managing environmental impact statements accompanying local council development applications, and a background in broad acre wheat-sheep farming and associated land use practices. He holds post grad qualifications in environmental management, a qualified accountant and a certified environmental auditor.

Roger is a director of a several web services companies. His experience extends across IT, agricultural science and financial services. He has a specific interest in the role of IT as an enabling technology for the SME and NFP sectors. Roger trained originally as an agronomist and worked widely across the Australian cropping industry for 15 years. In 1999 he founded The Regional Institute Ltd which provides free, online access to a range of scientific and technical information.

Shona Cameron is an environmental management consultant at Environment Essentials, which specialises in summarising and publishing OH&S and environmental legal duties in plain English. She is currently an author of the Envirolaw and LawGuides legal obligations directories. Shona has provided environmental solutions for businesses in Australia and abroad. She is particularly interested in the scientific and political aspects of greenhouse gas reporting, waste management and biotechnology.
