Eneclann was founded in 1988 by Brian Donovan and Fiona Fitzsimons, both History graduates of Trinity College Dublin... Eneclann is known for having traced President Barack Obama's Irish ancestry to the late 17th century and the company's research has featured in programmes such as Faces of America and Who Do You Think You Are?... Eneclann has provided the National Irish Visual Arts Library (NIVAL) with expert advice in the management of Special Collections and has delivered a range of archiving services including arranging and indexing, database development, digitisation, and training in archival theory and archiving.
