Dr. Heather Farmer

After graduating from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, I completed a Neonatal ICU internship at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA. During my internship I honed my skills in neonatal medicine, emergency treatment of colic, soft tissue injuries and post operative care for horses. In 2006, I took an associate position in Florida and got right to work. Here I began a rewarding career in the active horse country of Central Florida.

Dr. Nicole Seward

Dr. Nicole Seward grew up in Orlando, Fl. Her love of horses first began as a young girl taking riding lessons on the weekends. She never grew out of the ‘horse phase', and continued riding and showing hunter/jumper with some cross training in eventing. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Florida and obtained her veterinary degree from Auburn University. After graduation, Dr. Seward completed her internship at Brandon Equine Medical Center just outside of Tampa, FL. During her internship she advanced her skill set and knowledge in equine medicine and gained additional training in equine dentistry. She spent a year in Pensacola, FL, practicing mixed animal medicine before returning to her hometown to practice entirely equine medicine at Equine Performance Veterinary Practice. Her areas of special interest include equine dentistry, sports medicine and lameness, and general wellness. She enjoys educating clients and students alike on all aspects of equine health. When she is not at work, Dr. Seward enjoys working out, fishing, SCUBA diving, beaching, and playing with her Golden Retriever, Allie.
